Tom Sandoval Exposes Lala Kent and Scheana Shay for Dissing Him Publicly But Staying Friends Behind the Scenes!
Tom Sandoval is speaking out — again — and this time, he’s calling out former co-stars Lala Kent and Scheana Shay for what he says is a disconnect between their public shade and their private behavior.
During a recent appearance on the Death, Taxes, and Bananas podcast, the former Vanderpump Rules star opened up about how some of his former castmates have continued to interact with him in private — despite slamming him in public.
“Here I am like reaching out talking to Lala, and then she goes on to Watch What Happens Live and [says,] ‘Too little too late, buddy,’ and then literally three days later is like calling me up and inviting me over to her house,” Tom recalled. “Scheana [was] talking about how she doesn’t talk to me, and then literally we’re like texting back and forth about Masked Singer [and other things]. It just like … hurts my feelings.”
The tension between Tom and the rest of the Vanderpump Rules cast stems from his explosive affair with Rachel Leviss, which became public two years ago and led to massive backlash. For some castmates, the scandal was enough to draw a permanent line in the sand — at least in the public eye.
“I’ve been used by every single cast member in that way, you know, to benefit themselves [to] my misery … It hurts my feelings,” Tom said. “They’re still like, ‘I won’t associate or I don’t associate with him publicly,’ but … I’ve been loving, caring friends to all of these people. I’ve been there when nobody else would be.”
He continued, “I’ve been the one person that you can fking call at five in the morning because you’re locked out of your house, and I will fking answer and I will come over.”
Reflecting on the early days of the series, Tom revisited his time working at Lisa Vanderpump’s famed restaurant SUR before Vanderpump Rules even existed. “We just happened to work at this restaurant,” he said, recalling how he and his original castmates were friends for years before the cameras rolled.
“[We were] waiting for the day where we could go into SUR [and tell] Guillermo, Lisa, ‘Sorry, guys, I’m leaving. I’ve made it big in the movies.’ … It was always a means to an end.”
While the OGs may have started organically, Sandoval had much less praise for the newcomers.
Tom didn’t hold back when discussing the show’s current direction and cast additions. According to him, the new generation of Vanderpump Rules hopefuls had different intentions — not rooted in friendships or real-life relationships, but in fame.
“They wanted to get a job [at the restaurant to] hopefully make it into the background of one of our scenes, or hopefully try to hook up with a cast member to try to make it on the show,” he claimed.
“Their goals were to make it on the show. I know one person that was trying to get on the show who literally came into town and took an Uber straight from the airport to SUR to get a job there.”
He then threw light shade toward Lisa Vanderpump’s expanding empire, suggesting the connection between the restaurant owner and the current cast isn’t what it used to be. “Lisa has so many restaurants now,” Tom said. “She probably hardly know[s] these f**king people.”
