Brittany Cartwright Calls Jax Taylor a Narcissist & Says Him Going to Rehab Was For A Storyline!

Brittany Cartwright is opening up about the real reason Jax Taylor went to rehab — and she’s not holding back about what she’s been through.

During a recent appearance on the Misspelling podcast, Brittany, 36, reflected on the terrifying moments that led up to her estranged husband seeking treatment. She revealed that after she filed for divorce, Jax, 45, had several “rage” incidents, including one where he flipped a coffee table onto her during a car ride to the doctor. “It got really bad,” Brittany shared.

“My knee turned black immediately because it, like, flipped right up on me. And then he threw both bar stools. He broke my iPad. He broke my cell phone. He broke my Stanley cup. He threw Cruz’s food everywhere.”

Brittany also hinted that Jax had a long history of punching holes in walls during arguments. “It was really scary,” she admitted, calling the latest outburst her “breaking point.”

While Jax previously claimed that seeing their son Cruz’s face during an argument inspired him to check into rehab, Brittany firmly disputed that version of events. “That’s not true,” she said. “I called his sister. I called his publicist, his manager, and [producer] Alex Baskin. I got everybody combined joining teams with me that he needed to get help. I put my foot down, and I was like, if he does not go to rehab, I’m going to have to do something.”

Brittany continued, “The cops were going to be called if he did not at least go and try to get help. I think if his job wasn’t on the line, he wouldn’t have went.” Though she acknowledged that “some goodness” came out of Jax’s sobriety, Brittany said their relationship remains volatile. “One day he’s completely fine. And then the [next] day he is just in a rage,” she said.

“He thinks that if I’m nice to him sometimes, that we’re going to be like best friends again and we’re just going to be able to be a big happy family and hang out… and then the very next day, it’s just like, whoosh. [He’s asking me,] ‘Who are you talking to? … What guy?'”

Brittany added that Jax’s behavior still baffles her, saying, “He’s so concerned with who is in my life and who I’m talking to. And it’s just strange after we’ve been separated for over a year and a half.”

In a particularly candid moment, Brittany called Jax a narcissist. “Even whenever he was in the first rehab facility, they were like… ‘We can try to treat depression, we can try to treat bipolar, but his narcissism can’t be treated.’ They straight up said that to me,” she revealed.
