‘RHOA’ Star Kelli Ferrell Sued for Over $100K in Unpaid Rent on Atlanta Restaurant

Kelli Ferrell, the newest face on The Real Housewives of Atlanta, is facing major financial trouble after being sued for allegedly owing over $100,000 in unpaid rent tied to her second Nana’s Chicken-N-Waffles location.

According to court documents obtained by In Touch, Kelli, 39, is being sued by her landlord, The Prado, who claims she breached a five-year lease agreement for her Sandy Springs, Georgia location signed in January 2024. The landlord alleged that Kelli failed to pay rent, didn’t secure the required permits, and never opened the business to the public — all of which were terms of the lease.

Despite being served multiple notices of default between August 2024 and March 2025, Kelli allegedly never resolved the issues. The landlord claims she owes $101,140.64 in rent, interest, and late fees, plus an additional $13,453 for future rent owed under the lease. They’re also requesting attorney fees if the amount is not paid within 10 days.

In a statement to In Touch, a rep for Kelli said the dispute involves her second location, which is still in progress. “Although Kelli’s divorce has been finalized, there is still a lot of gray area left, especially with finances,” the rep said.

The rep further claimed Kelli’s ex-husband, Chuvalo Ferrell, has not paid the money he was ordered to in their divorce, including child support. “These instances, along with the fact that she had to pay close to $160K in legal bills for the divorce, left Kelli in a small financial stomp with opening the new location,” the rep continued.

Still, the rep assured that the situation is being resolved. “Kelli has been a successful entrepreneur for over eight years, but this divorce is extremely contentious and has caused issues,” they added, stating that the new Sandy Springs location is expected to open this summer.

As previously reported, Kelli finalized her divorce from Chuvalo in September 2024 after filing in 2022. She was granted primary custody of their three children — Chance, 12, and twins Chasiti and Chelsi, 9 — while they share joint legal custody.

Chuvalo was ordered to pay $3,991 a month in child support and the former couple split the proceeds from the sale of their home.

Kelli was also awarded household furniture worth $45,000, a 2021 Cadillac Escalade, a Rolex watch, diamond necklace, and her wedding ring set as part of the settlement. Their divorce wrapped shortly after Chuvalo spent time behind bars for failing to pay nearly $15,000 owed to Kelli.

He was released in August 2024 after posting bond.

Chuvalo’s rep previously stated, “Mr. Ferrell appreciates the interest in his ongoing personal matters, but he is committed to focusing on his family and professional responsibilities during this challenging time.”
