Jax Taylor Defends Selling Brittany and Cruz’s Stuff on eBay Amid Fan Backlash!
Jax Taylor is getting candid about his lesser-known side hustle — and he’s not apologizing for it.
During a recent episode of The Valley After Show, castmate Jason Caperna revealed that Jax, 44, has a surprisingly active business selling items on eBay, and he was so committed to fulfilling an order that he made it a priority even on his way to in-patient treatment.
“Jason was like, ‘You need anything, man?’ And he was like, ‘Yeah, actually, I have this mascara that I sold on eBay. Can you drop it off at the post office for me?’” Jason’s wife, Janet Caperna, recalled to Scheana Shay. Jason, who drove Jax to the treatment facility, added, “He had some loose ends he needed tied.”
The couple shared that Jax’s resale business caught them off guard — especially considering his reality TV earnings and past celebrity status. “I’m like, dude, it’s funny. You’ve made millions of dollars on television over the decade, and you’re selling free stuff you get on eBay for like 20 bucks,” Jason said with a laugh.
Jax, however, doesn’t see the humor. “I don’t really give a s–t what anybody thinks about that,” he fired back. “I will continue to do that, and I will always do that.” As for what he sells, it’s not necessarily Bravo memorabilia. “He’s not selling it like, ‘This was worn by Jax Taylor,’” Jason explained.
“He’s just like a random guy on eBay selling a protein shake.”
Jax, who shares 3-year-old son Cruz with estranged wife Brittany Cartwright, says the eBay side gig helps with everyday expenses — especially since their split. “I don’t understand the problem that people have with me making extra money. Gas is expensive. Cruz’s school is expensive. Why not?” he shared.
In fact, Jax revealed his interest in flipping items dates back to the pandemic. “I got rid of a lot during COVID because, well, we were scraping money at that time. But I think everybody was. I think everybody was selling s–t at that time. I literally got rid of my cars, everything,” he admitted.
But beyond the money, Jax says the eBay business brings him joy. “I love it. It’s a hobby. I like buying, selling, and trading!” he said.
