Erika Jayne’s Attorney Reveals She’s Under ‘A Lot of Stress’ Amid Lawsuits and Teddi Mellencamp’s Cancer Battle
Erika Jayne is facing mounting pressure as she navigates multiple legal battles and personal challenges — including drama over a recent music collaboration.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star, 53, is reportedly under “a lot of stress,” according to her attorney Jim Wilkes, who spoke to The U.S. Sun following a missed court hearing that left Erika facing a potential $300,000 default judgment. The suit stems from claims made by the designers behind Marco Marco, who allege Erika falsely accused them of racking up nearly $900,000 in unauthorized charges on her American Express card.
Jim admitted his absence from the court appearance was due to a clerical error. “My staff made a mistake,” he said.

“I’m going to file a new motion and go from there. I am in the process of winding down my practice to focus on fewer cases.”
Adding to the tension, Erika is also under scrutiny from artist Brooke Candy, who took to TikTok to accuse the RHOBH star of failing to give her proper credit for the song “Drip,” which recently appeared in the Oscar-winning film Anora.
In two now-viral clips, Brooke slammed Erika as “rude” and “delusional,” claiming she wasn’t even invited to Erika’s private screening of the movie at The Grove in Los Angeles. “She didn’t tag me. That’s my song. She’s literally taking credit for my song,” Brooke said. “You don’t do this as an artist.”
Meanwhile, Jim says Erika is also emotionally invested in her longtime friend and podcast cohost Teddi Mellencamp, who is currently battling stage 4 melanoma. “That’s been very difficult for Erika,” he shared, adding that despite everything, she’s handling things remarkably well.
“I’m stunned at how Erika has gotten through the depression of it. It astounds me that she’s done such a great job. Erika is good people.” Erika is also awaiting a trial date in a $24 million case linked to her estranged husband Thomas Girardi’s bankruptcy proceedings, though Jim Wilkes insists there is still “no evidence” connecting Erika to the alleged misconduct.
Part two of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills season 14 reunion airs tonight, April 8, at 8/7c on Bravo.
