Teresa Giudice Vows NEVER to Reconcile with Brother Joe Gorga and Wife Melissa — Family Feud Explodes!
Teresa Giudice is closing the door for good on any chance of a reconciliation with her brother Joe Gorga and his wife, Melissa Gorga.
During a candid appearance on the March 25 episode of Michelle Barone RED, the Real Housewives of New Jersey star explained why her relationship with the couple is beyond repair — and shared more about her past marriage, current husband Luis Ruelas, and her experience navigating life in the spotlight.
No More Chances for Joe and Melissa
When asked if she saw any possibility of mending her fractured relationship with Joe and Melissa, Teresa didn’t hesitate.
“Never, because my parents aren’t here anymore. And there’s too much damage,” Teresa, 52, said. “I’ve been dealing with this now for over 10 years, and unfortunately, you guys only — I know sometimes people think that I’m the bad guy, but there are a lot of things that you guys haven’t seen.”
While Teresa has often placed the blame for the feud on Melissa, she said her brother is equally responsible.
“It was my brother’s doing too. Because someone could say, ‘That’s my only sister,’ if he was that type of guy. But I think he liked the fame too, because he wanted that,” she said. “I used to blame her, but it’s both of them.”
Reflecting on Past Conflict
Looking back on one of her more emotional moments on the show, Teresa recalled a scene where Joe called her “scum” — a moment that deeply hurt her but showcased how much she’s grown emotionally.
“I just remembered that scene … when my brother called me ‘scum.’ And normally, I would beat the sh*t out of my brother,” she said. “But I just was like, ‘I’m leaving. I’m not giving him any attention.’ And I walked away.”
She added that her now-husband Luis was shocked by Joe’s words. “Then when I told my husband, he got so mad because he couldn’t believe my brother would say that to me, and that’s when he went inside and said, ‘Apologize to your sister.’”
Defending Luis and Taking on Margaret
While Teresa kept her composure in that moment, she admitted she reached her limit during Season 12’s cast trip to Nashville, when tensions with Margaret Josephs boiled over.
“They’re going after Luis, someone I really love — that’s when I threw everything on Margaret in Nashville because I knew that b*tch was doing that,” Teresa said. “And she was denying it. And I was just like, ‘I know you’re doing it.’ And look, the truth always comes out.”
She added that she believed Margaret “deserved that.”
Comparing Luis Ruelas to Joe Giudice
Teresa also addressed comparisons between her current husband Luis Ruelas and her ex-husband Joe Giudice, particularly when it comes to finances and public perception.
“[People] that meet Luis and meet Joe, I’m like, ‘Can you even see me with Joe?’” she said.
Still, she was quick to defend her former spouse, insisting he wasn’t a bad person despite their past.
“I would not be with a guy that treated me like sh*t. I am a tough a** b*tch. I’m not gonna take sh*t,” she said. “So if he was mean to me, he did say stupid things on TV, and sometimes there was alcohol involved.”
Teresa acknowledged how much alcohol influenced some of the behavior viewers saw on RHONJ.
“They like when you drink because then you do say stupid sh*t on TV,” she said of the production process.
Fighting for Joe Giudice’s Freedom
Teresa also reflected on the difficult years during and after Joe Giudice’s legal troubles, which led to his deportation.
“I paid everything, all the legal fees, trying to keep him here in this country,” she revealed. “I fought for him till the end.”
Staying Strong and Empowering Women
After appearing on House of Villains, Teresa said she appreciated the opportunity to show a different side of herself — one that fans might not have seen during her time on RHONJ.
“I was able to be who I really am,” she shared.
She also spoke about her desire to inspire women through her own journey.
“Believe in who you are and always stand strong. And if anything is ever bad in your life, you can always turn the tables and make it positive and never give up, especially when you have kids,” she said. “Your kids are always looking at you, so you want to be a great role model for your children — that’s what always keeps me strong and empowered.”
The Real Housewives of New Jersey is currently on pause ahead of its upcoming 15th season.
