Southern Charm’s Venita Aspen Says JT Thomas ‘Did Her Dirty’ After She Thought They Might Get Married!
Things have gotten icy between Southern Charm stars Venita Aspen and JT Thomas following a brief post-season romance that quickly turned sour.
After standing by JT throughout a tumultuous Season 10 — even as he found himself on the outs with most of the cast — Venita revealed during the Southern Charm After Show that she had genuine feelings for him at one point.
“Yeah, to a degree,” she admitted when asked if she was in love. “There was a developmental moment of like, ‘Oh, I think I could actually love this person.’” But those feelings turned bitter. “And then he did me dirty,” she added. “And now it’s, ‘I’ll put your head on a f*cking stake.’”
The fallout came to a head during the season finale, when JT failed to show up to Madison LeCroy’s party — despite Venita pleading with him via text to attend.
“I was riding for the kid, and he just didn’t show up,” she said. While JT responded to her messages with compliments, he ultimately ghosted the event, leaving even Austen Kroll and Craig Conover disappointed. “We were rooting for you,” they told her.
Despite their split, Venita and JT were forced to confront each other again during the reunion taping. In true Bravo fashion, drama ensued. After disputing the timeline of their short-lived romance, Venita stormed off set to retrieve her phone, shouting that she had
“Receipts! Proof! Timeline! Screenshots! F*cking everything!” Host Andy Cohen quipped, “I have a feeling it’s about to get worse.”
Venita later opened up about how the relationship fizzled. The two began dating shortly after filming wrapped, and while they briefly explored their connection in fall 2024, JT had already started seeing girlfriend Ali Pereless by November. “They weren’t a thing at the time that I know of,” Venita said.
“That’s what he was telling me, and I was believing him and trusting him in that.”
Looking back, Venita admitted she wishes JT had taken more accountability for the situation. “I just wish that he could just come out and be like, ‘Hey, listen, I caused all this. I made things messy. Don’t be mad at either [of] these women. I should have done a better job at communicating with both of them,’” she said. “I wish I knew what I know now.”
Southern Charm airs Thursdays at 8/7c on Bravo.
