James Kennedy CLOWNED for Posting a Picture With Tate Brothers – Fans Say His Apology is FAKE!
James Kennedy is facing backlash after sharing—and swiftly deleting—a photo with Andrew and Tristan Tate on Instagram. The Vanderpump Rules alum, 33, was criticized for posing with the controversial brothers, who have faced allegations of sexual assault and human trafficking.
Vanderpump Rules fans and bloggers quickly reposted the drama, sparking a frenzy online as the Bravo star performed at LIV Las Vegas nightclub on Friday, March 7.
After receiving intense criticism, James returned to social media to defend himself. “I regret posting a photo with the Tate brothers at an event last night. I was unfamiliar with their content and the allegations against them. I only knew them as podcasters that had posted a viral clip about Vanderpump,” he explained.
“I have since educated myself and condemned their beliefs. I am sorry to all that I offended.”
However, the apology didn’t sit well with many. Some critics pointed to past allegations against James, including claims from ex-girlfriend Kristen Doute, 42, who accused him of physical abuse. Is everyone finally ready to believe Kristen Doute about this guy?” one person asked.
Others were even harsher, with one saying, “James is always playing dumb—how many fake apologies does he think we’ll take?” Another added, “Not him pretending like he doesn’t Google himself every five minutes. He KNEW.”
Some fans completely wrote him off. “I was rooting for you, James,” one disappointed commenter admitted. “Byeeeee J*mes,” another brutally declared. One user took it even further: “Kristen may make terrible choices, but that doesn’t make her a liar. Y’all ignored her for years and now look.”
Adding fuel to the controversy, Ariana Madix, 39, seemingly reacted by unfollowing James on Instagram. A screenshot of her updated follower list, confirming the move.
Tristan Tate called out James Kennedy for deleting their photo, accusing him of “begging” to take the picture in the first place. He also mocked James’s apology, calling it pathetic and suggesting the reality star was just trying to save face.
Andrew and Tristan Tate, both 38, have faced multiple accusations of sexual assault and human trafficking in Romania and the UK, which they deny, but their controversial views on women have fueled widespread backlash. Critics accuse them of promoting misogyny, with Andrew openly making sexist remarks about male dominance and female subservience. Despite their claims of being misunderstood, their legal troubles continue, with Florida reportedly launching its own investigation into their alleged behavior.
As the drama unfolds, Vanderpump Rules is set to return for its 12th season later this year with a revamped cast.
