Teddi Mellencamp’s Ex-Employee EXPOSES Her in $2M Lawsuit!

Teddi Mellencamp’s year just went from bad to worse. As she battles metastatic melanoma and navigates a messy divorce, the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum is now facing a shocking lawsuit from a former employee who claims she was mistreated, underpaid, and wrongfully fired.

Despite her battle with metastatic melanoma, Teddi is now preparing for a legal fight. On Watch What Happens Live, host Andy Cohen recently sent well wishes to the reality star as she undergoes treatment for newly discovered brain tumors. However, not everyone shares the same sympathy—former employee Julia Umana is taking Teddi to court, accusing her of serious workplace misconduct.

According to legal documents obtained by TMZ, Umana, who worked as Mellencamp’s live-in nanny and housekeeper, claims she was subjected to a hostile work environment. She alleges that Teddi discriminated against her based on race, shorted her wages, and unfairly accused her of theft—claims that, if proven, could be damaging.

Julia states that she was treated differently from white household staff members, claiming Teddi never accused her blonde employee of wrongdoing but unfairly suspected her of stealing despite having security cameras in the home. She also alleges that Teddi mocked her for speaking Spanish, despite the fact that Mellencamp’s estranged husband, Edwin Arroyave, is of Colombian descent.

The lawsuit further claims that when Julia expressed her intention to resign, Teddi pressured her into working three extra 12-hour shifts for just $325. When Umana protested the low pay, she says she was fired. Now, she is suing for wrongful termination and unpaid wages, seeking more than $2 million in damages.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET on Bravo.
