Karen Huger is facing major backlash as fans call her out for refusing to take accountability and blatantly snubbing Wendy Osefo—many say they’re officially done with the Grand Dame.

In her first video message at the Real Housewives of Potomac reunion, Karen addressed her fans, acknowledging that many young viewers look up to her, saying, “Do as I say, not as I do.” Reflecting on her guilty verdict, she admitted, “My heart dropped,” calling the situation “frightening” but claiming to take full responsibility for the accident. However, she emphasized that her main concern wasn’t herself but the impact on her family, adding, “I care about my children, I care about my family. They are so hurt.” She remained in denial about her struggles, insisting she wasn’t an alcoholic—even as she admitted to seeking treatment for mixing alcohol with antidepressants.

In Karen’s second video message, she appeared noticeably more polished and put together, sparking conversation among fans about the stark contrast from her first clip.

While she once again thanked RHOP newcomer Jassi, Watch What Happens Live host Andy Cohen, former castmate Candiace Dillard Bassett, Gizelle Bryant, and her friend “K.” 

While Karen’s message was meant to be heartfelt, fans couldn’t ignore one glaring omission—Wendy Osefo. Many took to social media to call out Karen for failing to acknowledge Wendy, especially considering their past friendship. “Karen leaving out Wendy is disgusting,” one fan tweeted. “She had all that time to name-check Andy Cohen but couldn’t say Wendy’s name?” Another added, “This woman takes zero accountability and refuses to read the room. Classic Karen.”

Others defended Wendy, calling her one of the few RHOP cast members who consistently stood up for Karen in the past. “Wendy has always had Karen’s back, even when the others were against her,” a viewer wrote. “And now, Karen can’t even show her an ounce of appreciation?”

Fans were quick to call out Karen for what they saw as a lack of accountability, criticizing her for downplaying her guilty verdict while shifting focus to her family. “Karen keeps saying she takes full responsibility, but all I hear are excuses,” one fan wrote. Another fan stated, “Karen needs to be fired! No remorse for her DUI it’s sickening. She is an alcoholic and only went to rehab to avoid being called out at the reunion.” 

“Her message is so fake! I never thought I would say this but Karen sucks,” a viewer tweeted. As backlash grew, many fans expressed disappointment in Karen, with some even questioning her title as the Grand Dame. “Karen wants all the grace in the world but refuses to give it to others,” another fan added. One fan replied, “Karen is just playing victim. It’s sad how she acts. She needs to be more humble!”

With tensions running high, all eyes will be on part two of the RHOP reunion, airing February 23 on Bravo.
