Kyle Richards Reveals the Shocking Reason She Came Back to ‘RHOBH’ Amid Depression!

Kyle Richards is revealing the raw emotions behind her dramatic return to The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, opening up about what made her come back after stepping away during production for season 14.

In a candid moment on the RHOBH: After Show, Kyle shared her thoughts on why she ultimately decided to come back, especially after a dramatic confrontation with her co-stars. “I know that after 14 years of being on this show, [production has been] family to me, and through all my ups and downs, [they] have been a constant in my life. And I thought to myself … ‘What would I do if all of a sudden that’s removed from my life too?’” Kyle reflected.

The realization that the show had become a significant part of her life led her to reconsider her departure. “I [felt] like, at [that] point, I didn’t want there to be another loss,” she admitted.

Despite that, Kyle confessed she initially thought she was done with the show. “I left that thinking, ‘I’m done. I don’t need friends like this. I don’t need the money. Why am I here?’” Kyle explained.

The tension with her co-stars, particularly with Dorit Kemsley, left her feeling isolated. “Boze seems to really just only see through Dorit’s lens, everyone, because they’d spent time together. And Dorit was just coming at me nonstop, and then [Sutton Stracke] and Garcelle, who are my friends, who know who I am, were all the sudden back in it with Dorit,” Kyle said, reflecting on how the dynamics shifted. “I’m like, ‘Wow, this is just like, bam, bam, bam.’”

With her personal life also in turmoil, as her estranged husband Mauricio Umansky and daughter Alexia had just moved out of their home, Kyle admitted she was feeling “really alone” and emotionally drained.

“I was run down. And I thought, ‘I’m tired of having my character questioned when I know that everyone here knows who I am,’” she continued.

“I just thought, ‘I’m gonna remove myself from this. If they want to pick on people so badly and look for flaws in everybody and try to find a problem, then they can do that amongst themselves because I’m out.’”

For the first time ever, Kyle made the bold decision to step back from filming, and production respected her choice. “And for the first time ever, I said, ‘I’m not shooting,’ and production said, ‘We understand. Take a moment,’” Kyle revealed, marking a pivotal moment in her journey on the show.
