Margaret Josephs is absolutely slamming her Real Housewives of New Jersey co-star Jennifer Aydin after Jennifer’s explosive social media rant about a Jersey Mike’s employee sparked major outrage.
In an interview on SiriusXM’s Reality Checked with host Kiki Monique, Margaret described feeling “mortified” after watching Jennifer controversial rant.
“I had secondhand embarrassment. I was so upset,” she shared. “How can you shame people who are working so hard on New Year’s Day? I was mortified. I was heartbroken. These people are working so hard, they’re serving you.”
Jennifer, 47, had posted a video on Instagram complaining about the service she received at the airport sandwich shop, which many felt was uncalled for, especially given that it was on New Year’s Day. M
argaret didn’t hold back, calling Jennifer “entitled” and suggesting that the behavior reflected poorly on the Real Housewives of New Jersey franchise.
“If you don’t wanna be portrayed as a villain, then stop acting like one,” Margaret said bluntly. When asked if she had reached out to Jennifer after the backlash, Josephs admitted she hadn’t. “We are not friends that way,” she remarked. “
Obviously, that is Jennifer. That’s exactly who she is because she thought that behavior was OK. She uploaded that video herself.”
Margaret also criticized Jennifer for calling herself a “celebrity” in the video, a title Jennifer doesn’t think she deserves.
“None of us are celebrities, we are on a reality show. We’re everyday people who just happen to be on camera,” Margaret commented, adding that she was “embarrassed for her family” and the franchise as a whole.
Margaret didn’t stop there, emphasizing the importance of how people in the service industry are treated. “It’s very indicative of someone’s character how they treat people in the service industry,” she said. “How do you think this is acceptable behavior?”
After the rant, many fans online shared their disgust at Jennifer’s comments, and Josephs admitted that she too was “heartbroken” by her co-star’s actions. “I think it’s embarrassing for our franchise that she behaves that way,” she concluded.
