‘Summer House’ Star Paige DeSorbo Reveals She Was in an Abusive Relationship at 19!

Summer House star Paige DeSorbo isn’t holding back as she opens up about her rocky past relationships and how they’ve completely reshaped her approach to love.

On her Giggly Squad podcast, Paige opened up about a physically and mentally abusive relationship she experienced when she was 19 or 20, which she says altered the course of her twenties.

“I probably got my most insecure when I was 19 or 20. I dated a really physically and mentally abusive man, and it changed my whole course of dating in my twenties,” Paige revealed.

“And so then I looked for chaos, and I looked for pure … adrenaline and emotion, and I was like, this is so fun and this is so crazy.” Paige admitted that her experience led her into a cycle of unhealthy relationships, each slightly better than the last but still damaging.

“I just filled this pattern until I was 26 … [I] was dating someone [and I thought,] ‘Okay, this is normal.’ And I was like, ‘No … I can’t do this either,’” she continued. “And so it’s hard to not look at yourself as a girl and be like, maybe I am the problem.”

Reflecting on that time in her life, Paige said she eventually realized the toxic relationships weren’t her fault.

“I was just vibing with certain people who ended up being ‘f**ked up,’” she shared, adding that she felt “brainwashed” by the abuse she endured in her younger years.

Now 32, Paige is navigating another chapter of her life following her recent split from Southern Charm star Craig Conover. The couple, who began dating when Paige was 29, announced their breakup after three years together.

As Paige moves forward, she’s using her past experiences to guide her toward healthier relationships and personal growth. Fans will no doubt be watching as she navigates this new chapter of her life.
