‘Sister Wives’ Star Janelle Brown Finally Sells Late Son Garrison’s Arizona Home
Sister Wives star Janelle Brown has found a buyer for her late son Garrison Brown’s Arizona home after months of struggling to sell the property.
The home, which was listed for $425,000 in September 2024, has been marked “under contract” as of November 26, 2024, for $389,900 after two price cuts.
Garrison, whose full name was Robert Garrison Brown, tragically died by suicide on March 4, 2024, at the age of 25. His death, caused by a gunshot wound, occurred in the bedroom of his home. His younger brother Gabe discovered his body the next morning.
A Property Steeped in Memories
The four-bedroom, two-bathroom home, purchased by Garrison for $329,000 in December 2021, was a familiar setting for Sister Wives fans. The 1,441-square-foot house features a living room with a gas fireplace, vinyl floors, a fenced backyard, and a 500-bottle wine cellar, according to real estate listings.
Despite its upgrades and emotional significance, the property faced difficulty finding a buyer. The initial price cut dropped the listing to $399,900 in October 2024, followed by another reduction to $389,900 in November — the eventual selling price.
A Devastating Loss
Garrison’s passing left the Brown family shattered. His mother, Janelle, disclosed to police that her son had been struggling with mental health issues and alcohol abuse. She admitted feeling guilty for not seeking professional help earlier.
In a heartbreaking social media post, Kody Brown, Garrison’s father, expressed his grief:
“Janelle and I are deeply saddened to announce the loss of our beautiful boy Robert Garrison Brown. He was a bright spot in the lives of all who knew him. Our loss will leave such a big hole in our lives, that it takes our breath away.”
The family held a private funeral on March 9, followed by a memorial at the Clark County Armory in Las Vegas, where they honored Garrison’s service as a Staff Sergeant in the Army National Guard.
A Family Torn Apart
Garrison’s strained relationship with his father, Kody, played out publicly on Sister Wives. The two frequently clashed over Kody’s strict COVID-19 rules and his preference for living full-time with his fourth wife, Robyn, and their five children. Garrison, along with his siblings, felt neglected as Kody spent less time with Janelle and her children.
The fractured family dynamic ultimately contributed to Janelle and Kody’s split, announced on Sister Wives: One on One in January 2023. Following their separation, Janelle has focused on her children and new ventures.
Moving Forward
Today, Janelle is building a new life in North Carolina, where she launched Taeda Farms with her daughter Madison and son-in-law Caleb Brush. The family purchased 156.4 acres of land for $289,000 in April 2024, where they plan to grow their business and create lasting memories.
Meanwhile, Kody and Robyn recently sold their Flagstaff, Arizona home for $1,775,000 after receiving a full cash offer. They purchased a new six-bedroom, seven-bathroom home in the same area for $2,100,000 in October 2024.
As Sister Wives Season 19 continues airing on TLC, the Browns’ personal lives remain as complex and compelling as ever. Fans will have to stay tuned for more updates on their ever-evolving family journey.
