‘Vanderpump Rules’ Alum Lala Kent Fiercely Defends Editing Her 3-Year-Old Ocean’s Teeth!
Lala Kent isn’t biting her tongue when it comes to critics dragging her parenting choices. The Vanderpump Rules alum took to her Instagram Story on Monday to address comments after fans noticed she had whitened the teeth of her 3-year-old daughter, Ocean, in photos.
“We are from Utah honey,” Lala, 34, wrote in response. “We are teeth people! So I could not let this comment slide.”
The reality star opened up about the reasoning behind her edits, revealing that Ocean experienced an accident that impacted her front teeth. According to Lala, the toddler “fell off her bike face first,” causing “trauma” to the roots of her two front teeth.
“The root isn’t dead, but we go to the dentist every 3-6 months for check-ins,” she shared. “They will likely have to be pulled or she will have to have a root canal.”
Despite the ongoing dental concerns, Lala humorously defended her use of Photoshop to adjust Ocean’s smile in photos. “I am the mom who usually edits this,” she admitted, unapologetically standing by her choice.
Lala Kent, known for being on Vanderpump Rules, has embraced single motherhood, finding it aligns perfectly with her lifestyle. After welcoming her first daughter, Ocean, in 2021 with ex-fiancé Randall Emmett, Lala chose to expand her family independently. She conceived her second daughter, Sosa, born in September 2024, via a sperm donor.
Lala has expressed that single motherhood suits her best, allowing her to make parenting decisions autonomously. She emphasizes the importance of her strong support system, including her mother and brother, who live nearby and assist in raising her children. Lala’s approach to motherhood reflects her commitment to providing a stable and loving environment for her daughters, prioritizing their well-being above all else.
