Model Kills Husband in Tragic Murder-Suicide After Alleged Affair and Divorce Plans
A chilling murder-suicide involving a New York model and her husband has left their family devastated, with new claims that guilt over infidelity and looming divorce plans may have led to the tragedy. Sabrina Krasniqi, 27, allegedly shot her husband, 34-year-old Pajtim Krasniqi, five times on the balcony of their luxury Florida condo before turning the gun on herself, according to Pajtim’s grieving brother, Arben “Benny” Krasniqi.
“We saw plenty of signs, and now everything makes sense,” Benny told RadarOnline.com. “But they were in love, and never in a million years did we think something like this could happen.”
Infidelity and Divorce Tensions
Benny claimed Sabrina, originally from Queens, had been unfaithful and struggled with guilt, which may have fueled her actions. “There was infidelity on her part,” Benny alleged. “She came to a point of guilt or something that she just could not take. My brother wanted a divorce, and she didn’t take that lightly. She decided to take her own life and, somewhere along the line, she decided to take my brother’s life.”
Neighbors told police they frequently heard heated arguments from the couple’s 45th-floor condo unit in the weeks leading up to the incident. Fights reportedly occurred both inside the apartment and on the oceanfront balcony.
A Loving Family Man
Pajtim, a Bronx native, was remembered as a hard-working day trader with ventures in real estate and cryptocurrency. “He was a genius,” Benny said, describing his brother as “genuine,” “loving,” and “full of ambition.”
The loss has left the Krasniqi family shattered. “My mother’s devastated,” Benny shared. “We’ve lost someone who is irreplaceable. My brother was full of life, and that’s all been taken away from us by a selfish act of one person.”
Pajtim’s eldest sister Ardiana also shared her grief, recalling his devotion to family. “He made time for everyone, and he brought us all together,” she said. “That’s why everyone loved him.”
The Crime Scene
Hallandale Beach police responded to the grisly scene early last Wednesday after a ShotSpotter system detected gunfire. Officers found the couple’s lifeless bodies sprawled on their balcony, surrounded by pools of blood. Aerial footage of the scene revealed bullet holes in a glass door and a yellow tarp covering the victims.
Inside the unit, investigators found personal items including a teddy bear and a box of roses, which hinted at the couple’s tumultuous relationship.
A Promising Life Cut Short
Sabrina, who also went by her maiden name Sabrina Dzaferovic, was featured in a 2021 Inside Edition segment as a model. The couple moved to Florida two years ago, leaving behind their families in New York City. Despite the distance, Pajtim maintained close ties with his family, making regular trips to visit loved ones in the Big Apple.
“He would always make sure that he visited everyone in the family before he went back,” Ardiana said. “That’s just who he was.”
The tragedy has left the Krasniqi family grappling with the shocking loss of a man they describe as loving, ambitious, and devoted to his family. The investigation into the incident continues as questions linger over what led to the devastating events.
