‘The Valley’ Star Kristen Doute Announces She’s Pregnant and ‘Beyond Excited’ to Welcome First Baby With Luke Broderick!
Kristen Doute and her fiancé, Luke Broderick, are preparing for their biggest role yet: first-time parents! The Valley star announced her pregnancy today, sharing the joyful news alongside a stunning photo of herself cradling her baby bump with one hand and holding ultrasound pictures in the other.
Kristen, 41, has been open about her desire to start a family and the struggles she and Luke faced along the way. After experiencing a pregnancy loss last year, the couple decided to try again in early 2024.
“I knew my age could be a factor in conceiving,” Kristen shared. “So Luke and I discussed going for an extra push, a little help.”
By late summer, the couple met with a fertility specialist to explore their options. Kristen revealed the whirlwind experience of learning about fertility treatments, preparing her body for the process, and ultimately undergoing IUI (intrauterine insemination).
Kristen described the emotional two-week wait after the procedure. “The two weeks following the IUI felt like years,” she admitted. “To get a correct outcome on a pregnancy test, 2 weeks had to pass, but in my heart, I knew it had worked.”
Her instincts proved right. “I tested one day early and got the big PREGNANT result staring back at me,” Kristen recalled, overjoyed.
The journey to pregnancy was filled with relief and excitement for both Kristen and Luke. “The second I told Luke, he wasn’t surprised but was SO happy that IUI worked the first time,” Kristen shared. “He was joyful and beyond excited, to say the least!”
The couple’s baby is due in June, just in time for a potential third season of The Valley. Kristen expressed her excitement about the new chapter ahead.
“Our due date is in June, and we are really looking forward to expanding our little family and becoming parents!” she said.
Season 2 of The Valley recently wrapped filming and is expected to premiere this spring. As Kristen and Luke prepare to welcome Baby Doute-Broderick, fans are eager to see how their growing family unfolds on and off the screen.
