Sources Claim Bravo Set to FIRE Alexis Bellino from ‘RHOC’ as Drama with Shannon Beador Intensifies and Fans Turn Against Her!
Alexis Bellino’s spot on The Real Housewives of Orange County seems uncertain as tensions with Shannon Beador and audience backlash escalate ahead of the show’s 19th season.
After Shannon’s ex, John Janssen, filed a $75,000 lawsuit against her and got engaged to Alexis, 47, the two women’s feud has reportedly put Alexis’ future on the show in jeopardy.
“Bravo is thrilled with this season, and Alexis played a huge role in making it a success,” a source told the Daily Mail on October 18, adding that the drama between Shannon and Alexis made the season “a blockbuster hit.”
Despite producers’ excitement over the cast, the insider suggests Bravo may have to choose between the two stars. “They don’t want to film with each other, and the audience hates Alexis so much that Bravo may have no choice but to let her go,” they said. Tensions reportedly heightened after the season 18 reunion, with Alexis allegedly acting in ways that only worsened the conflict.
Still, there’s some chance Alexis may return. “Nothing has been decided yet, and casting won’t officially begin until the season finishes airing,” another source shared.
They noted that cast members like Tamra Judge, Heather Dubrow, Jennifer Pedranti, and Katie Ginella support Alexis’ return, while Shannon and Emily Simpson would prefer her departure.
Alexis herself, seeking redemption after feeling unfairly portrayed, believes she deserves a shot to show her “real life” and thinks Shannon’s “true colors” will eventually clear her name.
If Alexis is let go, the insider says it won’t solely be due to backlash. “Bravo has let go of popular people due to audience backlash, but it often makes the shows duller,” they explained. “Alexis could easily come back, but she and Shannon need to find a way to coexist… nobody wants to see them endlessly rehash the same fight.”
Interestingly, Shannon was reportedly at risk of being phased out after her DUI incident. However, this season’s unexpected twists have left her arguably the show’s most popular star.
“Everybody thought Alexis would replace her, but now Shannon is loved while Alexis and Tamra are divisive. But being hated isn’t always a bad thing for a Housewife—it’s better than being forgettable,” the source said.
RHOC season 18 airs Thursdays at 9/8c on Bravo, as fans eagerly await news of who will return.
