Brutal Video Surfaces of ‘Shahs of Sunset’ Alum Mike Shouhed Brutally Attacking Ex Paulina Ben-Cohen

Nearly two years after Shahs of Sunset alum Mike Shouhed’s arrest for domestic violence, disturbing footage of him attacking his then-fiancée Paulina Ben-Cohen has come to light.

The newly released video, obtained by All About The Tea, shows the shocking extent of the altercation, revealing the brutal nature of the incident that left fans and viewers stunned.

Footage Reveals Brutal Attack on Paulina Ben-Cohen

In the video, which was released on Thursday, a man identified as Shouhed can be seen violently grabbing Paulina by her hair and pulling her to the ground. As the struggle ensues, a nearby clothing rack topples over on Paulina, further intensifying the chaos.

The footage then shows Paulina’s face being pushed into the floor, after which she fights back by throwing objects at her attacker until he eventually exits the closet.

But the violence didn’t end there. In a separate clip from the playroom, the man appears to choke Paulina, prompting her to defend herself by slapping him across the head and face. The physical confrontation is both shocking and heartbreaking, offering a glimpse into the terrifying ordeal she endured.

Despite the alarming nature of the footage, neither Mike Shouhed nor Ben-Cohen’s representatives have responded to requests for comment, leaving many questions unanswered as the video makes its rounds online.

The Incident and Arrest

The attack reportedly took place in March 2022 during an argument over a hookah. Mike was arrested at the time for “intimate partner violence with injury,” though details about the incident were initially scarce. It wasn’t until four months later that Paulina Ben-Cohen was confirmed to be the victim of the altercation.

In July 2022, Ben-Cohen’s attorney told Page Six, “Paulina’s primary focus is on keeping herself and her children safe,” referencing her two children from a previous marriage. The chilling footage, paired with these comments, further underscores the fear and danger she was facing at the time.

Legal Consequences and Court Orders

Following his arrest, Mike Shouhed faced significant legal consequences. In October 2022, he was ordered to undergo anger management and parenting classes, as well as complete a gun safety course and community service. Additionally, he was barred from owning or possessing a firearm until he finished a court-mandated diversion program. The charges against him, which included domestic violence, battery, and unlawfully attempting to dissuade a witness, were set to be dismissed upon successful completion of the program.

Despite the legal proceedings, Paulina’s fear of Mike remained, and in March 2023, she took further action by filing a lawsuit against her former partner. The lawsuit included screenshots of the violent altercation in the closet and playroom, providing even more visual evidence of the abuse she endured.

Allegations of Long-Standing Abuse

In her court filings, Paulina alleged that Mike’s abuse had begun long before the March 2022 incident. She claimed that verbal insults often escalated to physical violence, with  Mike calling her degrading names such as “piece of s–t” and “f–king whore.”

Ben-Cohen also accused Mike of another physical attack in 2021, the same year the couple publicly announced their engagement. The repeated nature of the abuse, combined with the violent footage now available to the public, paints a harrowing picture of the toxic relationship.

In the lawsuit, Paulina claimed that after the closet altercation, Mike attempted to retrieve a firearm, which led her to call the police. It was at that moment that Shouhed was arrested, marking a critical turning point in their relationship and in Ben-Cohen’s efforts to protect herself and her children.
