Kelly Dodd Speaks Out on Andy Cohen and Bravo Lawsuits

The Real Housewives of Orange County alum Kelly Dodd is not holding back as she opens up about her departure from the hit Bravo series, her relationship with Andy Cohen, and the lawsuits involving Brandi Glanville and Leah McSweeney.

In a recent appearance on Teresa Giudice’s podcast, Turning The Tables By Teresa Giudice, Kelly Dodd got candid about the events that led to her firing and the drama that continues to surround Bravo.

As many fans know, Kelly Dodd joined RHOC during its 11th season and quickly became one of the most talked-about Housewives. However, her time on the show came to an abrupt end in 2021 after her controversial comments regarding the global pandemic. Her remarks were not well received by fans or the network, and she faced accusations of racism during her time on the series. Fellow RHOC star Tamra Judge even called for her firing a year before she was officially let go.

On the podcast, Kelly Dodd revealed more about her firing, explaining that she doesn’t believe Andy Cohen was fully responsible for the decision. “I don’t think he fired me [because] he wanted to fire me,” Kelly said. “I think Bravo and Evolution [the production company] wanted to fire me. I think he probably had some say, but Andy and I have always had a good rapport with each other.”

Despite her exit from RHOC, Kelly still has positive feelings about Andy, saying, “I think he’s an awesome person. I like him.”

Kelly also weighed in on the recent lawsuits involving Brandi Glanville and Leah McSweeney, both of whom have taken legal action against Bravo and Andy Cohen. The lawsuits include allegations related to their time on The Real Housewives franchises. However, Kelly made it clear that she’s siding with Andy on this one.

Referring to Leah McSweeney’s claims, Kelly said, “When that Leah McSweeney came on, I’m like, ‘they don’t ever force you to drink. They don’t force you to do anything on these shows.’” She then revealed that Andy had reached out to her after she defended him. “He texted me and said, ‘thank you for sticking up for me,’” Kelly shared.

As for Brandi Glanville, Kelly didn’t hold back her opinion. “I cannot stand Brandi Glanville, and I cannot stand that Leah McSweeney. I just, you know, like I’m team Andy Cohen on that,” she stated.
