Kody and Robyn Brown Take Flagstaff Home Off the Market Amid Christine’s Lawsuit
The legal drama continues for the Sister Wives stars as Kody Brown and his last remaining wife, Robyn Brown, have taken their Flagstaff, Arizona, home off the market following a lawsuit from Kody’s ex-wife, Christine Brown. The suit involves child support and custody of their 14-year-old daughter, Truely Brown.
Home Pulled from Market Amid Legal Battle
Just one month after In Touch exclusively reported that Kody, 55, and Robyn, 45, listed their expansive Flagstaff home for $1,650,000, the couple quietly pulled the property from the market. As of Tuesday, October 8, the home was no longer for sale and had not been purchased.
Built in 2007, the sprawling 4,476-square-foot home boasts five bedrooms and four bathrooms, sitting on a two-acre wooded lot “tucked away behind towering pines on a secluded ridge,” according to its previous listing. However, while the couple has remained silent on the sudden decision, it’s speculated that the legal battle between Kody and his ex-wife Christine could be a factor.
Christine’s Legal Moves Shake Things Up
Christine, 52, filed a lawsuit against Kody, seeking child support and custody of their youngest daughter, Truely. As part of her legal filings, the Cooking with Just Christine star requested the court establish Kody’s paternity of Truely, as he is not currently named on her birth certificate.
In addition, Christine asked for a domestic relations injunction, which would prevent both parties from engaging in harassment or domestic violence. The injunction also prohibits taking their children on nonroutine travel without permission from the court or the other parent.
The request is designed to create boundaries, ensuring financial and behavioral responsibilities are met, and to avoid further tension between the former couple.
Christine’s split from Kody in November 2021 marked the end of their spiritual marriage, with her and Truely relocating to Utah shortly after. Since their separation, Christine has been vocal about her decision, stating it was the best move for her daughter’s well-being.
“I knew that I was taking Truely away from her dad,” Christine revealed during an episode of Sister Wives that aired on October 15, 2023. “I felt like the best way to preserve Truely’s relationship with Kody was to move her away from him.”
Kody’s Relationship with Truely Suffers
Kody’s involvement in Truely’s life has been minimal since the move, with sources suggesting Christine had to take on most of the burden to accommodate him.
“He’s still paranoid about COVID and everything else,” a source told In Touch in October 2022, explaining that Kody’s reluctance to travel or leave his home has impacted his ability to maintain a relationship with his daughter.
“If Christine is not choosing to do the transporting and making it happen — nor would she put Truely through any of this stress — then Kody won’t have a relationship with Truely. He would have to leave his nest to see his daughter,” the insider added.
Christine’s move to Utah, though difficult for Truely’s relationship with her father, was something she felt was necessary. “Relocating to Utah was the best choice for Truely and me,” she admitted.
Tensions Grow Between Kody and Robyn
While Kody continues to deal with the aftermath of his split from Christine and the legal battle over Truely, his relationship with Robyn is reportedly on shaky ground. Robyn, Kody’s last remaining wife after Janelle and Meri also ended their spiritual marriages with him, has been facing growing frustrations in her relationship with the Sister Wives patriarch.
According to sources, their marriage hasn’t been the same since Kody’s other three wives left him. An insider exclusively revealed to the outlet that the couple has been struggling, with Robyn even considering an exit. “Robyn may be Kody’s last wife standing, but that looks like it’s about to change,” the source claimed in early September.
The insider pointed to the couple’s decision to list their Flagstaff home for sale as a potential sign that Robyn is ready to move on.
“They’ve put their Flagstaff home on the market, and the whispers are that it’s because Robyn wants out,” they said, noting that the couple has “drifted apart.”
“Robyn and Kody argue about small things that shouldn’t matter and they butt heads often,” the insider added. “This is not the life Robyn envisioned. All the signs are there, a split is inevitable.”
Sister Wives season 19 airs Sunday nights, at 10pm EST, on TLC.
