‘Love Island USA’ star Serena Page Hints Engagement is the ‘Next Step’ in Her Romance with Kordell Beckham
Serena Page is taking her relationship with Love Island USA co-winner Kordell Beckham one step at a time. The 25-year-old Houston native revealed to PEOPLE that despite the whirlwind of romance on the show, the couple is now enjoying a slower pace.
“We’re progressing in our relationship, but we’re trying to move at the pace that a normal relationship would and not as fast as it does in the villa,” Serena shared.
Two months after their time in Fiji, Serena and Kordell, 22, are officially boyfriend and girlfriend. However, she made it clear they’re in no rush for bigger milestones. “We’re able to just come out and slow things down a bit,” she explained. Serena added that living together isn’t on the table just yet: “Living together is not the next step. My finger’s still empty,” she joked, pointing to her bare ring finger.
Serena further emphasized that the next step, when it does come, will be engagement. “No apartment. There’s none of that. The next step would be engagement,” she revealed.
“And we need some time for that.” With a laugh, she pointed to her finger again and said, “This is naked. It is nothing. This is my apartment. My finger’s empty, and so is my apartment. I can live with you when we’re engaged.”
Since leaving the show, life has been moving fast for the former media planner, who now finds herself traveling much more than before. “I’m definitely traveling more now since I didn’t travel much at all before,” Serena reflected.
“I was working seven days a week. I was a workaholic. Now I’m having a little breather. Obviously, not much of a breather because I’m [traveling] all over the world.”
One major change Serena is still adjusting to is her new relationship status. “I mean also having a boyfriend. Haven’t had one in a minute,” she admitted with a smile.
For now, Serena and Kordell are enjoying life post-villa, taking things one step at a time, with fans eagerly awaiting what’s next for the couple.
