Incarcerated ‘Basketball Wives’ Star Brittish Williams’ Baby Daddy Lorenzo Gordon Pleads GUILTY to PPP Fraud
Lorenzo Gordon, a former professional basketball player and ex-boyfriend of Basketball Wives star Brittish Williams, pleaded guilty to a federal fraud charge on Wednesday.
Lorenzo, 41, from Chesterfield, Missouri, admitted to one felony count of theft of government property in connection with falsified applications for pandemic relief loans.
The federal indictment alleges that Lorenzo applied for two Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) loans and three Economic Injury Disaster Loans (EIDL) using false information about three companies: Fitness LLC, Elite 50 Basketball Training LLC, and Elite Health and Fitness Company LLC. Through these fraudulent applications, Lorenzo received approximately $107,000 in PPP loans and $165,700 in EIDL loans.
Lorenzo’s sentencing is scheduled for January 9, 2025, where he could face up to 10 years in prison and $250,000 in fines. His attorney, Jason Korner, stated, “Lorenzo’s been looking forward to today to take responsibilities for his actions.”
Lorenzo, originally from St. Louis, played basketball at Illinois State and went on to have a professional career in France, Germany, Turkey, and Israel. His ex-girlfriend, Brittish Williams, was sentenced to four years in prison earlier this year for her involvement in fraud schemes, some of which were also related to COVID-19 relief loans.
