‘RHOC’ RECAP: John’s Blackmail Plot EXPOSED and Emily FREAKS OUT Over Being a ‘Big Girl’
The episode starts off with a bang as Gina Kirschenheiter swings by Shannon Beador’s house, ready to spill the tea from their recent Sonoma trip. Gina wastes no time dishing on the drama, sharing how Katie Ginella told Heather Dubrow that Gina was using her for her real estate connections. Ouch! But Gina’s hoping to patch things up with Katie after their friendship took an awkward nosedive.
John Janssen’s Blackmail Plot
As for Shannon, she’s gearing up for her Tres Amigas tour with Vicki Gunvalson, though it’s not all fun and games. Apparently, Tamra Judge’s abrupt exit has left a giant hole in the show’s dynamic, and Shannon and Vicki are struggling to pick up the pieces and keep going.
Shannon then drops a bombshell about her ex, John Janssen, revealing he’s trying to blackmail her with a video of her drunken tirade. He’s demanding $75,000 to keep it from going public. According to Emily Simpson, who just happens to be an attorney, John’s actions could count as extortion. Get ready, John, this legal battle’s going to be a doozy!
Coffee, Shade, and the ‘Big Girl’
Over at the local café, Emily Simpson, Jenn Pedranti, and Katie Ginella are catching up over lattes, but of course, it wouldn’t be a Housewives gathering without some side-eye. Emily throws subtle shade at Jenn Pedranti, joking that Jenn can pay for their coffee but apparently not her rent. Not exactly kind, Emily. As the ladies chat about their personal struggles, Jenn opens up about how her son, Dawson, is rebelling against her parenting rules. She admits she’s spoiled her kids and is now facing the consequences — good luck reigning them in, Jenn!
And just when you thought things were light and breezy, Emily throws in a little bombshell of her own. She’s salty about Heather Dubrow giving her a size 12 dress to wear at Heather’s fashion show while the other women strutted around in sample sizes. Emily’s not having it and feels singled out. “I actually cried because I felt like I was the girl who couldn’t fit into the pants,” she reveals, through tears. Cue the *mini violin*.
Alexis Struggles Over John’s Legal Battle
Later, Jenn hosts a poolside party, and though Shannon’s off on tour, the rest of the ladies are present and ready for action. Alexis Bellino shows up, but her energy’s off from the get-go. After some prodding from Tamra Judge (who literally yells, “WHAT’S WRONG?!”).
Alexis breaks down, admitting that her legal woes involving John and Shannon are weighing her down. She admits, “I’m at my lowest point right now.”
But hey, this is RHOC — there’s always a game to lighten the mood, and this time, it’s Truth or Dare Jenga! Heather kicks things off by barking like a dog, and in true Tamra fashion, she takes things to a whole new level, peeing on the cement next to the group. Classic.
Emily Has a Meltdown Over Her Size 12 Dress
Back to the fashion catastrophe — Emily’s not done talking about that infamous dress debacle. She tells Heather how hurt she felt when Heather gave her the the size 12 dress and suggested she bring her own jeans because the designer didn’t carry plus sizes.
Emily’s emotional about the whole situation, claiming she felt “singled out.” Heather, in her defense, doesn’t quite get what the fuss is about and points out that Emily had three outfit changes, which is more than most of the other ladies.
Still, Emily presses on, “I didn’t even feel good in the dress because Alexis was in the same one, and hers fit her perfectly,” she adds. Cue Katie stirring the pot, pointing out that Emily wore a size 12 while Alexis rocked a size 2. Emily continues to push her narrative, insisting Heather sees her as “the big girl.” Heather, in her confessional, seems flabbergasted, saying, “I have news for you, the dress was tight on Emily, it wasn’t too big!”
Alexis Defends Heather
The drama reaches a boiling point when Alexis tries to defend Heather, but Emily shuts her down, snapping, “You shut up!” Alexis isn’t one to back down, firing back, “I’m not gonna shut up, you just brought me into this!” And because no RHOC argument is complete without a classic insult, Emily calls her a “wackadoodle.”
The tension builds as Emily tries to pull Heather aside for a private conversation, but Heather’s not having it. “Stop being rude to me,” Heather demands, to which Emily retorts, “You’re the one being rude.” Emily hits her breaking point and tells Heather to “f— off,” before storming off in classic Housewives fashion.
The episode closes with all the ladies yelling over one another in the kitchen, as Gina and Emily decide to make their dramatic exit.
