Real Housewives of Orange County star Alexis Bellino is standing by her fiancé, John Janssen, as he refuses to settle his $75,000 lawsuit against ex-girlfriend Shannon Beador. After appearing on Watch What Happens Live, John explained his decision, which Alexis echoed in a recent interview.
John’s Refusal to Settle
According to Alexis, Shannon offered John a small down payment and monthly installments, which he rejected. “He doesn’t want to get monthly installments from his ex,” Alexis told Us Weekly. Additionally, John refused to sign a non-disparagement clause because Shannon had “disparaged him for four years,” and he wanted the freedom to speak the truth.
Alexis clarified that John would have gladly accepted the money in full, but the timing of his lawsuit — right before the statute of limitations expired — was a necessary move to ensure he could reclaim his funds.
Did Shannon Lie About Finances?
Alexis also called out Shannon for claiming she spent money on John during their relationship, stating, “That’s not true. That’s gonna come out.” Alexis insisted that Shannon owes John the $75,000 and suggested that once she pays the amount, the lawsuit will be resolved.
John’s Future on RHOC
While Alexis and John have faced criticism over their relationship, Alexis said the negativity has strengthened their bond. “We’re stronger than ever,” she explained, attributing this resilience to their engagement and the challenges they’ve already faced together. Despite fan speculation, Alexis confirmed that John will make a brief cameo on RHOC this season but won’t participate in any significant filming.
Blending Families
Alexis shared that her relationship with John’s family and her own children with ex-husband Jim Bellino is thriving. “We’ve taken several family trips together,” she said, describing their family dynamic as a “Brady Bunch.” Despite the ongoing legal issues with Shannon, Alexis remains optimistic about her future with John, focusing on their growing bond and blended family.
