‘RHOSLC’ Star Meredith Marks Teases Drama-Filled Season and Reveals a ‘New Beginning’ with Lisa Barlow
Meredith Marks is gearing up for a dramatic new season of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City, where she teases a fresh start with Lisa Barlow, ongoing drama with Whitney Rose, and tensions with Mary Cosby.
In a recent interview with Extra, Meredith opened up about the upcoming season’s conflicts, her evolving relationships, and Jen Shah’s prison situation.
Reflecting on the new season, Meredith described it as filled with “a lot of conflicts, a lot of drama, ups and downs,” adding that there are “a lot of reconciliations and failed reconciliations.”
Meredith emphasized her “new beginning” with Lisa, noting, “I think there had been a lot of misunderstandings between us.”
She acknowledged past issues but hinted at external influences affecting their relationship, saying, “I think some of the other women—I don’t know—they don’t really want us to be friends, is what it feels like. I feel like there’s been a lot of gas poured on the fire between us. And she and I both see that.”
Addressing her fellow cast members, Meredith hinted at ulterior motives, remarking, “It’s like, ‘Oh okay, I hear what you’re saying and I also know you have ulterior motives.’” She suggested that viewers will see where she and Lisa ultimately land.
Meredith’s comments about Whitney were pointed. “Whitney says things and just has no regard for the consequences,” she said.
“And she’ll speculate on things and say them as if they’re facts … Labeling someone is not an opinion. She’s like, ‘This is my opinion.’ Well, calling someone a villain, that’s not an opinion. That’s degrading their character … If she thinks it’s okay to express all her opinions then I guess we should too about her.”
Meredith noted that differing viewpoints among the group often lead to conflict. “We’re a group that … all think[s] differently. We are wired differently. Some people are offended by things that others can’t even understand,” she explained.
Regarding her feud with Mary, Meredith expressed confusion and frustration. She said, “I don’t understand her issue with me, and Mary ‘brought up things’ that were from ‘ages ago’ that we had ‘already talked about.’”
She found Mary’s behavior “contrived” and suspected external influences, noting, “Perhaps others are in her ear. She has all these new friends.”
Meredith spoke about new cast member Bronwyn Newport, who she met five years ago but didn’t know well before this season. She described Bronwyn as having a “strong personality” and “a lot of opinions.”
