Meghan King and Alexis Bellino Reconcile After Feud: ‘She Was Really Upset with Me’
It seems Meghan King and Alexis Bellino have patched things up following a brief feud earlier this year.
The two Real Housewives of Orange County alums clashed back in January after Meghan expressed concerns about Alexis‘ relationship with John Janssen. Now, just days after Alexis and John announced their engagement, Meghan is opening up about how they moved past the drama.
In a recent interview with Us Weekly, Meghan reflected on her initial concerns when she learned about Alexis’ relationship with John Janssen.
“When I first found out they were together, I was initially a little bit apprehensive about the relationship,” Meghan admitted. However, after hearing about Alexis and John’s engagement, she decided to reach out. “When I saw she got engaged, I actually reached out to her and told her congratulations because she was really upset with me.”
Meghan went on to explain that her earlier comments about Alexis and John were misinterpreted, leading to tension between the two.
“I said I was apprehensive or something, and she got really upset with me. So her interpretation was that I was basically exploiting her situation in the press in order to get myself the press or something. That’s not what happened, but the optics for her were that, and it hurt her feelings.”
Meghan King had previously claimed that John was “love-bombing” Alexis and expressed concerns about potential red flags in their relationship. In response, Alexis implied that Meghan wasn’t being a true friend by discussing her relationship publicly in an interview.
She also suggested that Meghan’s comments were more about seeking attention and being in the spotlight than genuine concern for her.
Despite the initial tension, Meghan said that Alexis’ reaction was understandable, which is why she made the effort to apologize.
“[Alexis] said, ‘Thank you so much,’” Meghan shared. “And honestly, I just want her to be happy… They’ve been together for a bit and that’s their business. They’re not hurting anybody, so to each their own.”
