Kristen Doute has found love again, and this time, it’s for keeps. The Vanderpump Rules alum, who moved to The Valley in search of a fresh start, spent all of season 1 by Luke Broderick’s side, and now the couple is officially engaged.
Luke recently popped the question, and Kristen couldn’t wait to share the happy news with her fans, posting heartfelt photos of the proposal on Instagram.
In a romantic gesture that took Kristen by surprise, Luke proposed during a cast trip to Maui, Hawaii. Kristen shared the details of the proposal, which took place while the couple was out on the water.
As Kristen described to Us Weekly, Luke told her to look for dolphins as the sun set behind them. “It was a total surprise,” Kristen said. When she turned back, Luke was on one knee with a ring in hand.
On Instagram, Kristen shared her joy with her followers, writing, “I’m wrapped around your finger like this ring I’m wearing. Out of all the fish in the sea, you chose me.” She also gave a shoutout to her jeweler, writing, “Bestie @kylechandesign for creating the most beautiful ring!!”
Kristen’s reaction to Luke’s proposal was pure joy, but she also admitted that the moment was filled with excitement and some unplanned words. “I blurted out several expletives when I saw Luke down on his knee with a ring,” Kristen confessed. Thankfully, she managed to say “yes” and sealed the deal after two years of dating.
Fans of The Valley have watched Kristen and Luke’s relationship blossom on screen, but the proposal was a total shock to the reality star. Her face during the moment, captured in photos, reflected both shock and happiness.
Less than a year after they started dating, Kristen revealed that she and Luke are already planning their future together, which includes starting a family.

“I was so tired of being a girlfriend for a couple of years and then having s—t fall apart,” she explained. Now, it seems Kristen has found her happy ending, with the future looking bright for her and Luke.
