Danielle Cabral Reveals She’s Uncertain of Returning to ‘RHONJ’ and Fears About Losing Her Spot
Danielle Cabral recently got candid about her experience on The Real Housewives of New Jersey, including the toughest moments and the unexpected challenges she faced.
Appearing on Kaitlyn Bristowe’s podcast, Off the Vine, Danielle shared insights about her time on the show, her future with the franchise, and her thoughts on the dramatic moments that unfolded during season 14.
During the August 29 episode of the podcast, Danielle, 39, spoke about feeling deeply hurt by people she once trusted.
“You know what the saddest thing I experienced this year was getting hurt by people I championed and I loved and I had on my team and they tried to hurt me,” Cabral revealed. “And then once they hurt me and realized, ‘Oh God, people care about me,’ they kept going and going.”
Cabral, a mother of two, acknowledged how hard it was to see her relationships change, including with her hairstylist. Despite the pain, she maintains that “good always wins.”
Danielle also opened up about how life in the spotlight has taught her some difficult lessons.
“It comes back in ways that we don’t even have to get our hands dirty,” she explained. “There’s no human decency anymore. It’s sad. That cancel culture, that’s why everything is getting so [much] worse.”
As for what shocked her the most during filming, Cabral said it was her co-stars’ awareness of the cameras that took her by surprise.
“The reality shows that I would film before, it was cameras go up and they stay up and you do your thing,” she said. “We have set times. So solo scenes are usually two hours, three hours, and all casts are a little bit longer.”
While Danielle appreciated the authentic moments captured, she mentioned that Bravo doesn’t provide glam services prior to filming, leaving cast members to handle their looks independently.
“I wish that ‘Bravo would set [her] up,’” she shared.
Danielle also addressed her now-infamous altercation with Jennifer Aydin, 47, which escalated when Jennifer pushed her, leading Danielle to hit her in the head with a cup.
“I had a reaction but the reaction was a very good reaction,” Cabral remarked.
Despite the drama, Danielle admitted that being part of the show brought significant stress into her life, particularly affecting her sleep and anxiety levels.
“I don’t sleep. I have anxiety… You never know when your job is up,” she said.
When discussing the upcoming 15th season, Cabral hinted that major cast changes could be in store.
“We don’t know. No one knows anything but some people are going,” she teased. “For the women that have been on there a really long time, that’s a whole life change.”
“That’s a loaded question,” she said. “If we can get back to the [RHONJ] that I love, I could do that all day… Evil and twisted and trying to ruin my name and my brand and my children’s future, I don’t sign up for that.”
Looking ahead, Danielle expressed her hopes for lighter and more fun storylines in future seasons, along with a personal desire for a spinoff series. “That’s on the board, too,” she said, revealing her interest in having her own show.
Cabral also shut down any suggestions that she received a “bad edit” during season 14, firmly rejecting the idea. “When people say ‘a bad edit,’ no chick, you’re just a bad person,” she stated.
Although the current season of The Real Housewives of New Jersey is on hiatus, Danielle’s thoughts on the past season and future possibilities have left fans eager to see what’s next for her in the franchise.
