The Real Housewives of Potomac alum Candiace Dillard Bassett is eagerly preparing for the arrival of her baby boy.

The 37-year-old Bravo star exclusively shared the exciting news with Us Weekly, revealing that she and her husband, Chris Bassett, are expecting a son.

“I started to feel a masculine energy,” Candiace shared. “I just couldn’t deny the feeling of a sweet little boy growing inside of me.”

As she embraces the joys of pregnancy, Candiace has been busy creating a whimsical, Alice in Wonderland-themed nursery for her son. “It’s the most magical and indescribable experience,” she gushed. “I think I’m actually going to miss it, but I also can’t wait to meet him and stare at him all day!”

In addition to prepping for motherhood, the reality star has been indulging in some classic pregnancy cravings.

“Olive Garden spaghetti with meat sauce, Apple Jacks cereal, and watermelon have been the top contenders,” she said. “I’ve also had a few stretches where all I wanted was smash burgers … that was a great time.”

With her due date fast approaching, Dillard Bassett hinted at the excitement of welcoming her baby in the coming season. “I’m so happy to have a fall baby,” she added.

Candiace has been open about her fertility journey, documenting her IVF process on RHOP. In April, she revealed that she and Chris were expecting their first child. “I always wondered, like, how would I know when I was ready? And I always felt like a part of my anxiety was that I wasn’t sure that I would know,” she told Entertainment Tonight.

“When I knew, it was undeniable. I kind of woke up and realized that I was never going to be 100 percent ready. I just had to trust the process.”

Since then, Candiace has been documenting her pregnancy on social media. Last month, she shared that her husband had surprised her with a “Besties Only Bassett Baby Shower,” posting heartfelt messages and clips from the event on Instagram.

“When you’re ripping and running all over the place, it can be easy to forget how blessed you are,” she wrote.

“I’m so grateful for my friends, my day ones! My family! For reminding me that I am loved and showering me and @cbassett33 in such a special way… We ate and drank and laughed and filled that room with so much joy, and it was EXACTLY what I needed. Thank you, ALL! We are SO blessed!”
