Erika Jayne Wishes Alexis Bellino and John Janssen ‘Good Luck’ with Their Public Relationship
Erika Jayne is sharing her thoughts on Alexis Bellino and John Janssen’s recent engagement, offering a candid perspective on the challenges of public relationships.
Alexis Bellino, a friend of The Real Housewives of Orange County, got engaged to her boyfriend of nine months, John Janssen, who is also Shannon Beador’s ex, on August 29.
During an appearance on the Two Ts in a Pod podcast on August 30, Erika weighed in on the engagement, acknowledging the difficulties that come with having a relationship in the public eye.
“Any relationship is hard. Put it in the public. Put it on a reality TV show. Put it surrounded by all of this controversy or criticism. Good luck, because that’s going to be hard,” the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star told host Teddi Mellencamp. “And if it fails, there are going to be a lot of people cheerleading. It’s too much too soon.”
Erika also commented on Alexis‘ heartfelt Instagram post, where she described her time with John as a “gift.”
“I bet she does feel wonderful and all of that, and God bless you, but this sh-t changes. And it changes on a dime, and when it does, it sucks,” Erika said, expressing caution. “That’s why I’m much more reserved.”
Drawing from her own experience, Erika made a comparison to her marriage with Tom Girardi, which ended in 2020 but has yet to be finalized. “Marriage is a test. I’m looking at 23 years and it ain’t going so good,” she shared. “So, if you want to f-ck around and find out, call me.”
When asked if she would consider getting married again during a different episode of Two Ts in a Pod, Erika made it clear that she’s not interested in walking down the aisle anytime soon.
“I don’t feel that that’s where I’m at,” she said, adding that her current focus is on herself and building her own success.
“I have a lot of work to do, and I really just want to be successful on my own,” Erika explained. “For the first time, I have my own thing…and it feels good.”
Erika’s candid thoughts on marriage, relationships, and independence highlight her desire to navigate life on her own terms, especially after her long, tumultuous marriage to Tom Girardi.
As for Alexis and John, only time will tell how their relationship will unfold under the spotlight.
