The former Vanderpump Rules stars were seen at Pan Pacific Park in Los Angeles on Friday, filming for the second season of their spinoff, The Valley.

The pair were joined by fellow cast members Kristen Doute, Scheana Shay, and Brock Davies for a day of field games – and inevitable drama.

Photos obtained by Daily Mail on August 31 captured Brittany, 35, wearing a gray bra top, black leggings, and pigtails, in tears while talking to Kristen. Meanwhile, Jax, 45, dressed in a blue and gray T-shirt and baseball cap, kept his distance. Despite the tension, Brittany’s castmates quickly rallied around her, offering hugs and high-fives.

According to TMZ, the atmosphere between Brittany and Jax was tense throughout the outing. While Brittany appeared upbeat and laughing with friends, Jax seemed “in a funk.” At one point, a friend reportedly had to pull Brittany away from Jax after she got “a tad too close,” intensifying the discomfort between them.

The report also mentioned that an eyewitness overheard Jax confiding in Kristen, revealing that he had been “spiraling out of control” before entering a weeks-long mental health treatment program.

On their shared podcast, When Reality Hits With Jax and Brittany, Brittany recently addressed the divorce, though she kept specifics under wraps due to ongoing filming.

“Everything has been heavily documented on the show since we happen to be filming right now. You will see how everything plays out once the show airs,” she explained. “This season has been the most difficult season I have ever had to film. I never imagined I’d go through something so personal and painful while having the world watch.”

Brittany further opened up about her decision to end the marriage, emphasizing it wasn’t made lightly. “It’s taken me many, many years to get to this point where I’ve gained enough courage and strength to do what was best for me,” she said.

“Get myself out of a toxic relationship and ultimately see my worth. It’s been very difficult but I’m stronger than ever, and my motivation is my son, Cruz, who deserves a healthy and happy mommy.”

Season two of The Valley is expected to premiere on Bravo later this year or early next year.
