Amy Slaton Hospitalized After Shocking Camel Bite at Tennessee Zoo!
1000-Lb Sisters star Amy Slaton had a wild and painful Labor Day at a Tennessee zoo, resulting in a hospital visit and an unexpected run-in with the law. The reality TV personality was reportedly bitten by a camel at the Tennessee Safari Park in Alamo, which led to her being rushed to the hospital on a stretcher, only to later be arrested for drug possession.
Camel Bite Leads to Emergency Medical Attention
TMZ obtained photos of Amy being carried out of the Tennessee Safari Park on a stretcher, visibly in pain and with a makeshift tourniquet wrapped around her arm. Witnesses at the scene reported seeing Amy walking through the parking lot with a shirt tied around her arm before emergency medical services arrived to assist her.
However, the situation quickly took a turn when law enforcement got involved. Cops on the scene discovered psychedelic mushrooms and marijuana in Amy’s car, which were reportedly in plain sight. This led to her immediate arrest on charges of illegal possession of Schedule I and Schedule VI drugs, as well as two counts of child endangerment, as her two young children were in the vehicle at the time.
Disputed Camel Bite Claim
Adding to the confusion, Jon Conley, one of the owners of the Tennessee Safari Park, disputed Amy’s claim of being bitten by a camel. Conley told TMZ that the cut above Amy’s elbow was not consistent with a camel bite, describing it as a deep cut with no bruising, which isn’t typical of such an injury. He further explained that the park has never had an incident involving a camel bite among their thousands of yearly visitors and that there is no surveillance footage to support Amy’s story. Additionally, Amy was reportedly unable to specify where in the park the alleged bite occurred.
Legal Troubles Continue
After receiving treatment for her injuries at the hospital, Amy was taken to jail, where she was booked and had her mugshot taken. The arrest is the latest in a series of troubling incidents for the reality star, adding to the ongoing challenges she’s faced both on and off the screen.
This incident marks the second time in recent months that a drive-through safari has been the scene of a bizarre and dangerous encounter with an animal. Back in June, a giraffe grabbed a toddler out of a pickup truck at a zoo in Texas, highlighting the potential risks of these types of attractions.
Amy’s Labor Day ordeal at the Tennessee Safari Park has certainly sparked concern and curiosity among fans, and the fallout from her legal issues remains to be seen as she navigates this latest chapter in her life.
