Tamra Judge Defends Teddi Mellencamp, Calls Vicki Gunvalson ‘Thirsty’
Tamra Judge defended Teddi Mellencamp by taking a jab at Vicki Gunvalson, labeling her as “thirsty.”
Teddi Mellencamp and Vicki Gunvalson’s long-standing feud reached new heights during a recent episode of The Real Housewives of Orange County.
The tension between the two reality stars was palpable in Season 18, Episode 8, when Teddi made a surprise appearance at a Traitors-themed game night hosted by Tamra Judge.
The August 29 episode kicked off with Teddi, who co-hosts the Two T’s In a Pod podcast with Tamra, addressing the group by saying, “Welcome Housewives … and Vicki.” The subtle dig did not go unnoticed by Vicki, who was clearly displeased.
Tamra later reflected on the awkward moment during an interview at Bravo Headquarters on August 15, explaining that the comment wasn’t planned. “That just kind of slipped out of [Teddi’s] mouth,” she said, clarifying that she wasn’t behind the insult.
“She tries to blame me for it, but I’m not the one who told her to say it. Her and Vicki have had this long feud going on.”
When asked if there had been any reconciliation between Teddi and Vicki since the incident, Tamra was doubtful.
“I don’t think there’s [a relationship right now]. I think Vicki continues to just trash her,” she claimed. “She’s just thirsty, as far as I’m concerned. Vicki’s been nothing but horrible to her for no reason. She doesn’t even know her. So [Teddi] thought it was a good idea to just stick it to her.”
The dig sparked immediate reactions from the other Housewives. Heather Dubrow found it “rude,” while Gina Kirschenheiter noted that the comment “definitely was not funny in the moment, and Victoria was not feeling that.”
Jennifer Pedranti was equally surprised, saying, “I couldn’t believe it. I was like, ‘Wait, Teddi knows Vicki’s standing right there.'” Shannon Beador also chimed in, admitting that she rolled her eyes during the scene. “I didn’t think it was very nice,” she said.
“The two of them have this beef with each other. When someone starts it off this way, how can it end well?”
The game night itself was orchestrated by Tamra, who wanted to recreate the experience she had on The Traitors reality show, albeit briefly.
“I figured that Teddi would be the best host, like Alan Cumming,” Tamra explained in a confessional.
As for Vicki, she was less than thrilled about Teddi’s presence. “That’s Tamra’s minion,” she remarked in an interview after Teddi’s arrival. “Teddi can go kiss my ass.”
