Kyle Richards Reacts to Ex-Husband Mauricio Umansky’s New Relationship with Nikita Kahn
Kyle Richards recently opened up about her current relationship with estranged husband Mauricio Umansky amidst reports that he is “head over heels” for his new girlfriend, Nikita Kahn.
The news comes just a month after the Buying Beverly Hills star, 54, was first seen vacationing with the Ukrainian-American model, 33, in Greece. The pair has since been spotted enjoying time together in Mexico, sparking further speculation about the seriousness of their romance.
According to an insider who spoke with Life & Style on August 27, Mauricio is deeply invested in his relationship with Nikita. “Mauricio is head over heels with Nikita, he’s not dating anyone else and seeing her every chance he gets,” the source revealed. “He didn’t want to make a show of things, but he’s glad things are out in the open now.”
The insider also shared that their relationship began well before their Mykonos getaway. “Even before the trip to Mykonos, they’d been seeing each other a while, like two or three months,” the source added. “But that trip was magical and took them to a whole new level.”
As for Kyle, who has been dealing with the public nature of her estranged husband’s new relationship, the situation hasn’t been easy.
“She’s trying to see the bigger picture, but it stings,” the insider commented, reflecting on Kyle’s emotional response to the news.
In a recent appearance on Amazon Live on August 27, Kyle addressed how things are between her and Mauricio, though she refrained from discussing his new relationship. “We get along very well. There’s no arguing or anything like that. There never was. It’s still the same,” Kyle shared, maintaining a positive tone despite the circumstances.
When asked about Mauricio’s involvement in the upcoming season of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, she confirmed, “Yes, he does show up on the show this season.”
The ongoing situation has reportedly been tough for Kyle, especially after photos emerged of Mauricio and Nikita sharing affectionate moments.
Following the release of those images, sources claimed that Kyle was ready to move forward with a divorce. “She is more than ready to divorce Mauricio,” a source told Life & Style in July.
“She’s ready to take him to the cleaners! Kyle’s been there from the very beginning. She propped Mauricio up all these years, and now she’s ready to take him down a few notches.”
Complicating matters further, another insider suggested that Mauricio’s decision to move on was partly influenced by Kyle’s rumored flirtation with singer Morgan Wade, 29.
“[It was] really grinding his gears seeing Kyle play this are-they-or-aren’t-they lovers guessing game with Morgan to draw attention to herself,” the source explained, adding that Mauricio had hoped to reconcile with Kyle but felt compelled to take action as she seemed to delay making a decision about their marriage.
“Now, he has forced her hand — and he doesn’t feel bad about it one bit!”
