‘Real Housewives of New Jersey’ Star Melissa Gorga Reflects on Feud with Teresa Giudice: ‘I’m Not an Angel’

The feud between Real Housewives of New Jersey stars Melissa Gorga and Teresa Giudice reached a breaking point after Season 13, creating one of the most tumultuous and controversial seasons in the show’s history. The division between the two families led to a chaotic dynamic that fans didn’t exactly embrace.
Many point to Teresa’s husband, Luis Ruelas, as a key factor in the ongoing conflict. Luis has made a negative impression on fans and the Gorga family, with some believing that his influence has fueled Teresa’s estrangement from her brother Joe Gorga and sister-in-law Melissa.
During an August 22 appearance on the In the Twot Seat podcast, Melissa discussed the strained relationship and addressed whether Luis is the main cause of the family feud.
When host Teddi Mellencamp asked if the Gorgas and Teresa might reconcile without Luis in the picture, Melissa responded candidly. “I think there was a lot of problems before him as well,” she admitted.
Melissa also acknowledged that the conflict is “two-sided.”
She said, “I’m not saying I’m an angel. But I think that I’ve … taken a lot, I’ve forgiven a lot, I’ve moved forward with a lot. I’ll just say it like that. And I got to the point that when you’re now calling my husband over for a chat without me, and you’re sitting there with your new like, fiancé, and you’re telling him that I’m some bad wife and basically lying to him about cheating rumors … I have checked out of the building.”
Melissa revealed that her husband, Joe, was equally shocked by the situation.
“He actually couldn’t believe that that’s why he got called over to the house,” she said, adding that she felt she should have been included in the conversation or “invited” at the very least. Reflecting on the ongoing drama, Melissa remarked that she’d have to be “crazy to keep coming back for more.”
The future of the Gorga–Giudice relationship remains uncertain, but Melissa’s candid comments shed light on the deep-rooted issues that continue to divide the family.
