Lisa Vanderpump ‘Doesn’t Quite Understand’ Rachel Leviss Wanting a Therapist to Film ‘Vanderpump Rules’

Lisa Vanderpump has once again found herself at odds with Rachel Leviss, following Rachel’s latest remarks about potentially returning to Vanderpump Rules.

When asked by a news outlet if she would consider coming back to the show, Rachel suggested she would require “all-expenses-paid therapy” and a therapist on call after every filming session to even contemplate it.

In her response, Rachel acknowledged that even with unlimited therapy, she wasn’t particularly eager to return to the reality TV spotlight. However, Lisa Vanderpump expressed confusion over Rachel’s comments, especially regarding the need for paid therapy.

In an interview with Us Weekly, Lisa addressed Rachel’s statement, saying, “She said that, but I think she has had a therapist on hand the whole time through filming. I think Bravo [is] very cognizant of that — of being there even when you’re filming, saying somebody’s available for you to talk to.” Lisa added, “So, I don’t quite understand what that means.”

Given Lisa’s response, the situation now seems to hinge on Rachel’s next move. Whether she disputes Lisa’s claim about the availability of therapy during filming or criticizes the quality of the mental health support provided by Bravo, the back-and-forth continues to play out publicly.

Rachel, however, has already hinted that therapy or not, a return to Vanderpump Rules is unlikely. She told various outlets that she doesn’t “see a path forward because it’s not a healthy dynamic.” While she might be open to appearing on a competition show someday, it seems her time on Vanderpump Rules is over.

Earlier this year, Lisa also made headlines when she criticized Rachel’s legal actions against Tom Sandoval. In March, Lisa told TMZ that Rachel’s filing was “ridiculous,” suggesting that Rachel shouldn’t send explicit videos to “your best friend’s boyfriend” if she didn’t want them shared.

However, Lisa later learned that Sandoval allegedly recorded Rachel without her consent, complicating the situation further.

Rachel responded to Lisa, expressing her frustration with what she sees as Lisa’s power in shaping public perception, especially given her status as Sandoval’s business partner at TomTom.

She accused Lisa of “spreading certain propaganda and straight-up lies as a way to change the public’s perception,” deeming Lisa’s comments as “victim-shaming.”

“It’s going back like years and years, decades and decades of back when people would say, ‘Oh well she was wearing booty shorts. She was asking for it. Oh, she deserved it because she looked a certain way.’ It’s very, very icky,” Rachel said. “It doesn’t feel right.”

She continued, “It’s one thing to be an advocate for [Sandoval’s] mental health in general, but it’s another to twist and turn things to support one of your cast members who is a male and have the woman take the fall.”
