‘The Valley’ Star Jax Taylor Exits In-Patient Treatment After an ‘Emotional Month’
The Valley star Jax Taylor is preparing to leave in-patient treatment after spending 30 days focusing on his mental health.
News of Jax’s decision to seek help broke on July 30, and now his representative has confirmed that he is nearing the end of his stay at the treatment facility.
“Jax has spent the last 30 days in treatment and will be heading back home later this week,” his rep shared in a statement to PEOPLE on August 19. “It’s been an emotional month for him, and he’s most looking forward to spending time with his son [Cruz Michael Cauchi].”
The news of Jax’s treatment first came to light when his representative disclosed to TMZ on July 30 that Jax had checked himself into a facility. “Jax has always been candid about his mental health struggles, especially during the past few months on his podcast. He has made the decision to seek in-patient treatment,” the rep explained.
“This is a particularly sensitive time for him and his family. They ask for privacy and respect until he is ready to speak more on this matter.”
Jax has yet to publicly comment on his decision to enter treatment, but his life has been marked by significant changes in recent months. In February 2024, Jax’s wife and The Valley co-star, Brittany Cartwright, announced their separation, further complicating his emotional landscape.
Brittany moved out of their shared home in the San Fernando Valley shortly after, revealing that she needed space and time to evaluate their relationship.
“I think that me moving out and taking space to figure out if this is what I want is the best situation for me right now,” Brittany told TMZ in March 2024. “If he switches some things and changes some things about his life, then maybe we can get back together. But right now, I don’t know.”
Jax acknowledged the complexity of their relationship during an interview on his 45th birthday, July 11, which Brittany attended. “You know, Brittany and I are separated, and we’re just trying to figure it out, so, I don’t know what you want to call it, but I don’t look at it that way,” he shared with TMZ.
Despite the separation, Jax confirmed that he wasn’t seeing anyone else. “I’m not dating or anything, so, I don’t know, it’s confusing,” he added.
As Jax completes his treatment, his focus is on returning home and reconnecting with his son, Cruz.
Meanwhile, The Valley has continued filming, with Vanderpump Rules stars Lala Kent and Scheana Shay reportedly stepping in to fill Jax’s role during his absence, according to rumors.
