Akin Fontana Releases A Statement About ‘RHODubai’ Star Sara Al Madani Slamming Him and Saying He’s ‘Thirsty’
The second season of The Real Housewives of Dubai is delivering its share of drama, and Sara Al Madani is making headlines with her revelations about her breakup with Akin Fontana.
The couple’s tumultuous relationship, which played out on the current season of the show, ended in spectacular fashion, with Sara now opening up about the discord that led to their split.
Sara, who joined RHODubai in its inaugural season in 2022, introduced viewers to her ex-boyfriend Akin Fontana this season. However, their relationship was short-lived, and Sara is now detailing the reasons behind their separation.
In an exclusive interview with Page Six, Sara criticized Akin for his apparent desperation for fame. She remarked, “There’s a problem when the exterior doesn’t match the interior, right? And there’s a problem when there’s a grown-ass man so thirsty for fame and a moment and he would use you to [be on TV].”
Sara recounted an instance that highlighted Akin’s eagerness to stay in the spotlight. “I remember when we were filming, he went back to Germany [where he lives]. And he’s like, ‘So when am I coming back for more?’ I said, ‘Darling, it’s done. We’re done filming this, that part of my life.’”
She added, “He’s like, ‘How dare you take me off the show. How dare you.’ And I’m like, ‘Bro.’ I was like, ‘I’m confused.’”
The model’s aspirations for increased fame seemed to be a point of contention, especially given his rapid desire to escalate their relationship.
Sara disclosed, “To be honest, he was rushing to get married after two months of meeting each other. He wanted to rush into marriage, and it was weird. He’s like, ‘I want to get married.’ And I’m like, ‘Bro, I don’t even know you.’ When I say I want to get married, that’s my end goal — that doesn’t mean I want to marry Akin. It means, in the end, I want to get married and have kids. I’m not dating for fun.”
Sara also alleged that Akin exhibited controlling behavior. She described a particular instance where he restricted her gym choices:
“He told me that I could not go to a gym that has men in it. But he’s a trainer, and he trains women. Have you seen how trainers stretch women? I was like, ‘So you stretch women like that, and you train women, and I’m not allowed to go to a gym?’ So it was OK for him and not OK for me.”
Sara went so far as to hire a private investigator to verify her suspicions about Akin. She shared, “I hired a detective because he always accused me of doing weird things. I’d be in my room sleeping. He’s like, ‘You’re with somebody.’ I’ll be giving a speech in a hotel, I’ll be in the hotel room after my speech dead, and he’s like, ‘Oh, you are with somebody.’”
She added, “The only person who would do this is a person who’s doing that.” Although Sara did not disclose specific findings from the investigation, she stated, “I caught everything.”
Sara also revealed that she is in contact with Akin’s former partners, saying, “And FYI, just in case Akin is watching this, I’m in a WhatsApp group with all your exes, and they’re freakin’ awesome, and I love them. And I know everything, and I have receipts as well.”
In response, Akin Fontana issued a statement to Page Six expressing his dismay over the allegations.
He said, “I’m shocked and deeply saddened by the accusations being made against me. These statements are entirely untrue, and it’s confusing, weird, and shocking to me that she’s choosing to speak out with these rumors and false accusations now, nearly a year after our breakup — especially with the timing of the show coming out.”
Akin further claimed to be Sara’s “latest target” and noted that she had previously complained about her other exes.
