Luis Ruelas SLAMS Margaret Josephs, Calls Her ‘Pathetic’ and Says She Used Her Son For A Storyline!
Luis “Louie” Ruelas, husband of Real Housewives of New Jersey star Teresa Giudice, has seemingly reversed course on his previous apology to Margaret Josephs after wishing ill upon her son.
The drama unfolded following a recent comment on Instagram that reignited the controversy.
The situation began when an Instagram user commented on a photo Louie posted of himself with his youngest son, asking, “How would you feel if someone wished your son to suffer?” In response, Ruelas fired back, “I wouldn’t use my son as a storyline! PATHETIC!” The remark sparked immediate backlash, leading Ruelas to disable comments on the post.
The comment in question relates to an incident from the Season 14 finale of RHONJ, which aired earlier this month. During the episode, Luis, 49, made a controversial remark while discussing Margaret Josephs with his wife, Teresa Giudice, 52. The conversation took place as Teresa prepared for a tense dinner with her co-stars, dubbed the “Last Supper.”
Teresa had accused Margaret, 57, of speaking with one of Luis’ exes and spreading damaging rumors about him. In response, Ruelas asked Giudice how she planned to handle the impending confrontation.
“Tell her to stay away from our family. And you know what? I hope Margaret and her family suffer. You know, I hope her f–king son suffers the way I suffered, the way other people in our family have suffered,” Luis said during the episode.
Louie didn’t stop there, going on to describe Josephs as a “disgusting, vile human being” and “a real piece of garbage.” Teresa echoed her husband’s sentiments, arguing that their own “kids suffered” as a result of Josephs’ alleged actions.
Following the episode, Luis faced significant criticism from fans and even RHONJ executive producer Andy Cohen. In response to the outcry, Luis issued a public apology via his Instagram Story.
In the apology, Ruelas expressed regret over his comments, particularly the part about Josephs’ son, who has never appeared on the show and remains out of the public eye.
“It was very tough for me to watch the episode,” Luis began, admitting that he was “disappointed in [his] actions in bringing up Margaret Josephs’ son.” He explained that he only mentioned Josephs’ son because he felt falsely accused of calling and threatening him at work during the previous season’s reunion, a claim Ruelas insisted was “simply not true.”
“For the last year, Margaret kept putting this narrative out there that I called her son at work, and I have had to deal with it knowing I am being lied on,” Louie told his followers.
Despite his frustration, he acknowledged that bringing someone’s child into the conflict was wrong. “It is something I deeply regret, so I do want to apologize and acknowledge that I was wrong,” he wrote.
However, Luis also took the opportunity to highlight the impact that the show’s “toxicity” has had on his own family, suggesting that they have been deeply affected by “all that’s happened at the hands of certain people” — though he refrained from naming specific individuals.
Ruelas concluded his apology by stating, “Two wrongs don’t make a right and I deeply regret saying what I said.”
Despite his public apology, Ruelas’ recent Instagram comment has led some to question whether he truly regrets his words.
