Ariana Madix Gives a ‘Wild’ Update on Ann Maddox’s Role at Something About Her After Ann Claimed They Cut Her Hours!

Ariana Madix finally spoke out about Ann Maddox in her recent Watch What Happens Live appearance and clarified the situation.

During her August 13 appearance on WWHL, Ariana provided an update on the sandwich shop and, more specifically, on one of its employees, Ann Maddox. Viewers of Vanderpump Rules might recall Ann from Season 11, where she transitioned from working for Ariana’s ex, Tom Sandoval, to joining Ariana’s team at Something About Her.

When asked about Ann’s current status at the shop, Ariana confirmed that she is still part of the team. “Yeah, Ann’s working with us,” Ariana said with a laugh. The revelation prompted a surprised response from host Andy Cohen, who remarked, “That is wild.”

However, Ann recently made headlines of her own when she took to Instagram to share that her hours at the sandwich shop had been cut, which has left her struggling to pay her rent.

“Well, my hours got cut at the shop so I have no choice but to have this succeed … Please vote for my podcast so that we can get host read ads and pay my rent thank you!” Ann wrote, along with a link to a survey where fans could support her podcast, We Signed an NDA.

Before this announcement, Ann had appeared to be thriving in her role at Something About Her. In April, she expressed her excitement about joining the team in an email to The Daily Dish.

“I am very excited about my new job at Something About Her,” Ann shared. “Ariana and Katie are the best bosses a girl can ask for! [I] can’t wait to ‘break bread’ with all the lovely fans of VPR at the sandwich shop. See you soon!”

Ariana and Katie have spoken positively about Ann’s contributions to their business. During an episode of the Vanderpump Rules After Show, Ariana elaborated on why they believed Ann was a perfect fit for their team.

“Something [Ann] had said she wanted in a job before was to be someone who contributed creatively and somebody who had upward mobility — things like that — and that’s definitely something that we have,” Ariana explained. “She also really wanted to work with women.”

Katie echoed this sentiment, adding, “I already think she’s a great addition. Just her presence and enthusiasm and everything.”

While Ann’s situation has taken a challenging turn, it’s clear that both Ariana and Katie value her role at the shop.

The pair has assembled a team to help run Something About Her, with Katie even sharing details about the day-to-day operations during a recent appearance on the Not Skinny but Not Fat podcast. “We have a manager, and we have staff,” Katie said. “I go almost every day.”

As the team at Something About Her continues to navigate the ups and downs of running a new business, it remains to be seen how Ann’s role will evolve.

For now, Ariana and Katie seem committed to maintaining the supportive environment they’ve created at the sandwich shop, while balancing their own busy careers in the spotlight.
