Paige DeSorbo Reveals Lindsay Hubbard Has Been ‘Chill’ and Claims She’s ‘Good’ With West Wilson

Summer House star Paige DeSorbo has always been one to keep it real, especially when it comes to her friendships.

In an exclusive interview with Us Weekly, DeSorbo, 31, opened up about her unbreakable bond with fellow cast member Amanda Batula, 33, even as their significant others, Craig Conover and Kyle Cooke, find themselves at odds.

“It would be really hard for Amanda and I to fight at this point in our friendship,” Paige explained. “I’d be like, ‘OK, we’re over it now.’” The reality star’s casual tone reflects the deep connection she shares with Amanda, a friendship that has withstood the tests of reality TV drama and personal life challenges.

This strong bond was on full display during Season 8 of Summer House, when tensions flared between Amanda and her husband, Kyle, 42, over the direction of his company, Loverboy.

The couple, who tied the knot in 2021, faced a pivotal moment when Amanda expressed her desire to step back from her role at Loverboy to pursue her own business ventures. Paige was quick to stand by her friend, urging Kyle to take Amanda aspirations seriously.

“I don’t want to have this conversation in five years that she’s leaving you,” Paige warned during a May episode of the show. “You’re starting [down] that slippery slope. She’s gonna get so unhappy. You’re going to lose your marriage because of a company? You’re at a really big life crossroad.”

Paige hinted at a new dynamic as the cast films Season 9. A significant shift, she noted, is due to Lindsay Hubbard’s pregnancy. “It is a very different vibe than we’ve had, but it’s not a bad vibe,” DeSorbo said.

“We’ve had a lot of fun. I mean, we have a pregnant woman and I have used every excuse that Lindsay has used. I’m like, we’re pregnant. I really can’t play kickball today. You know, we’re pregnant, we’re not going to the club tonight. So that’s been really helpful for me staying in bed more. And so for that I’m forever thankful to her.”

Hubbard, 38, is experiencing her first pregnancy, and according to DeSorbo, the former PR pro has shown a more relaxed side as she prepares for motherhood.

When asked if she thought pregnancy has changed Lindsay, Paige, who co-hosts the Giggly Squad podcast, noted that her friend has mellowed out significantly. “I always say [that] Amanda [Batula] was the chillest bride. Lindsay has been the chillest pregnant person,” she explained.

“I don’t know if her hormones are just, like, calm or what’s going on, but she is. Maybe it’s that she’s having a girl, but she’s been very chill.”

As for the rest of the Summer House cast, DeSorbo had positive updates. Carl Radke, Hubbard’s ex-fiancé, is doing “great” nearly one year after their wedding was called off.

Additionally, newcomer West Wilson, who previously fumbled a relationship with Paige’s close friend and costar Ciara Miller, has managed to get back in her good graces.

Reflecting on her interactions with Wilson, Paige admitted she was tough on him during the reunion but believes it was necessary. “I went a little hard [on] him at the reunion, but I think something needed to be said,” she explained.

“I am not someone that holds a grudge. I am quick to get over things and it takes me a long time to even get mad at stuff. So once I’m over it, I feel like we’re done. So yeah, we’re good.”

Lindsay, 38, who is preparing to welcome her first baby with boyfriend Dr. Turner Kufel, is clearly having an impact on the group’s usual party-heavy summer.

As the cast adjusts to this new phase of life, it remains to be seen how the dynamics will continue to evolve both on and off camera.
