Teresa Giudice Shows Support for Chanel Ayan’s Shade Towards Melissa Gorga!
Teresa Giudice’s bond with Chanel Ayan remains steadfast, even amid recent drama involving Melissa Gorga.
The Real Housewives of New Jersey star and The Real Housewives of Dubai’s Chanel Ayan forged a close friendship shortly before Teresa’s wedding in August 2022, and their camaraderie is still strong today.
On the August 6 episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, Ayan was asked to share three positive things about Melissa, Teresa’s sister-in-law, who has had a strained relationship with Chanel Ayan.
“She’s the sister-in-law of Teresa. She’s married to Teresa’s brother, and she has a business called Why Be Envious?” Ayan responded, referring to Melissa’s store, Envy.
The crowd and the fellow guest reacted strongly to Ayan’s response, prompting Ayan to defend her answer, saying, “What?! It’s nice things.”
The seemingly innocuous list of facts about Gorga sparked a flurry of online discussion, with many questioning Ayan’s intent. The official Watch What Happens Live Instagram account posted a clip of the moment, and Giudice took to the comments section to show her support by posting three red hearts.
While Ayan’s comments on WWHL appeared to be a show of support for Teresa, she has previously made waves with accusations against Melissa. Ayan speculated in an Instagram comment about whether Melissa had purchased her 2.8 million Instagram followers. “Did she buy them?” Chanel questioned.
Melissa addressed the situation during the July 11 episode of her podcast, On Display with Melissa Gorga. “She just wants to mention my name, when I have no idea why. I don’t approach her, I don’t follow her, I don’t know her…” Gorga said, expressing her confusion over Ayan’s remarks. “It’s actually really confusing for me to figure out why she’s doing this.”
Melissa dismissed the notion of engaging in public feuds, saying, “I don’t play in the mud. I don’t randomly call out other Housewives on other franchises for absolutely no reason… It’s not my style, it’s not what I do.”
She defended her follower count, attributing it to her ability to connect with her audience. “At some point, I think I should get a little credit for being good at what I do, and that when you give relatable content, the followers come.”
Gorga also spoke to Chanel’s character, stating, “I would never come at anybody because they had a lot of followers, and assume that they did something wrong to get them. I know Chanel’s not a weak-minded individual. She’s a tough, strong woman. I’ve seen her on the show.”
Despite the tension, Melissa expressed openness to reconciling. “She’s snarky and I think she’s great at what she does. So I don’t… really get it,” Melissa said. “So hit me up, girl, if you ever want to talk, because I’m confused.”
However, following Ayan’s appearance on Watch What Happens Live, it seems the rift between the two ladies persists. Fans can continue to follow the unfolding drama on new episodes of The Real Housewives of Dubai, airing Tuesdays at 9/8c on Bravo.
