Taylor Armstrong Claims Friendship With Shannon Beador Changed After Her ‘RHOC’ Firing

Taylor Armstrong, former star of Real Housewives of Orange County, recently disclosed her feelings of betrayal by fellow cast member Shannon Beador, following what she describes as a significant shift in their friendship after her exit from the show.

Taylor opened up about this on her “Naked Truth” podcast, detailing a recent encounter with Shannon that left her feeling deeply hurt.

According to Taylor, the change in their relationship occurred after she was not asked back to the show, a decision that seemed to coincide with Alexis Bellino, Shannon’s ex’s girlfriend, joining the cast.

Armstrong recounted a run-in with Beador that brought these feelings to the forefront. “I [hadn’t] heard from her in quite some time and I actually have been really hurt over it,” Taylor shared. “When I saw her, she said, ‘Oh my God! How are you!?’ You know, act[ing] excited to see me.”

Taylor didn’t hold back during the encounter, expressing her feelings directly to Shannon. “I said, ‘Actually I’m hurt … You hurt my feelings,'” Taylor recounted, noting Shannon appeared surprised by the confrontation. “She said, ‘I’m sorry.'”

The RHOC alum elaborated on the nature of their previous relationship, describing herself as Shannon’s “go-to call” during what Taylor described as a “really dark time” in Shannon’s life, which involved navigating a tumultuous relationship.

“When her life changed — and all of a sudden everything was different for her and she didn’t need me any longer — crickets,” Armstrong lamented. “I haven’t heard a single word from her, and it’s so hurtful to me.”

Taylor’s experience echoes a warning she received from another cast member, who cautioned her about Beador’s pattern of distancing herself from friends once she no longer needs their support.

“I’ll be damned if that exact same thing did not happen to me,” Taylor stated, revealing that this friend described Shannon as an “energy vampire.”

This term, “energy vampire,” was used to describe Shannon’s alleged habit of draining friends of their emotional and social resources.

This characterization has been supported by Tamra Judge, another RHOC star who has had her own ups and downs with Shannon.

Despite a reconciliation after Tamra’s return to the series, the two have reportedly fallen out again.
