Margaret Josephs has openly condemned remarks made by Luis Ruelas, husband of Teresa Giudice, during the tumultuous season 14 finale of The Real Housewives of New Jersey.
In a recent discussion on SiriusXM’s “Reality Checked” with host Kiki Monique, 57-year-old Margaret described Louis‘ comments as “appalling” and “disgusting.”
“I was threatened again in the finale, my entire family,” she claimed. “I find it appalling, disgusting … No one says that. It’s horrifying. It’s very disgraceful.” Margaret’s reaction to Luis‘ comment.
The backlash was swift following Sunday’s episode, leading to Ruelas issuing a public apology on Tuesday. He took to Instagram, expressing disappointment in his behavior and the hurt his words caused.
“After watching the finale, I was disappointed in my actions in bringing up Margaret Josephs’ son,” he posted. Louis explained that his comment stemmed from a misunderstanding, refuting claims that he had threatened Josephs‘ son at last season’s reunion.
“For the last year, Margaret kept putting this narrative out there that I called her son at work, and I have had to deal with it knowing I am being lied on,” Luis explained, asserting his innocence in those allegations.
Despite his defense, Ruelas admitted that his approach was wrong. “Bringing up someone’s child is inappropriate, and it is something I deeply regret,” he confessed.
“I do want to apologize and acknowledge that I was wrong.” He also mentioned how the “toxicity on the show” and actions of some individuals had deeply affected his family, though he did not name anyone specifically. “Two wrongs don’t make a right, and I deeply regret saying what I said,” he concluded.
His initial remarks came during a heated conversation with Teresa in the finale, where he expressed a desire for Josephs and her family to suffer, echoing his personal ordeals.
“I hope Margaret and her family suffer. You know, I hope her f–king son suffers the way I suffered, the way other people in our family have suffered,” Luis stated, calling Margaret a “disgusting, vile human being” and a “real piece of garbage.”
This ongoing feud between Teresa and Luis with Margaret has been a recurring theme on the show, with accusations flying about Josephs meeting with one of Ruelas’ exes to disseminate negative information about him.
While Margaret has denied leaking any information, she acknowledged messaging Louis‘ ex, further complicating the relationships within the RHONJ cast.
