Monica Garcia Claims ‘RHOSLC’ Producers Asked Her Back But Was SHUT DOWN By Cast Threatening to Quit, Lisa Barlow Reacts!
Monica Garcia recently stirred up some drama off-screen by revealing why she wasn’t invited back to The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City for its fifth season.
During a revealing segment on the Salty Housewives Podcast — Monica shared that her absence was due to threats from her co-stars who said they would quit if she returned. This confession has ignited a heated debate among fans and cast members alike.
“Bravo and production have gotten a lot of sh*t for not inviting me back. It was not their fault and they actually tried to bring me back several, several times. They actually tried to bring me in toward the end of the season for season five and you can thank a couple of motherf*ckers for threatening to quit if Bravo brought me back,” Monica disclosed, as seen in an Instagram video shared by the podcast.
Monica did not hold back in her interview, expressing gratitude towards the network for its continued support and lamenting the backlash they received unjustly. “So I wanna shout out Bravo for having my back always. They are not the ones should be catching the heat and we all know who should be. And if you don’t know, you will real soon on the podcast,” she added.
The controversy doesn’t stop there. Monica revealed that she was the target of multiple investigations by the network and Warner Brothers, instigated by her castmates. These probes were based on allegations that she found deeply distressing and harmful. “I had to go through and endure for like six-month-long investigations. People have no idea,” she explained, visibly emotional. “[There were] really disgusting allegations and terrible sh*t.”
Thankfully, not all of Monica’s co-stars turned against her. She thanked Meredith Marks and Whitney Rose for their support during her challenging times. “Shout out to them for doing the right thing and defending me at a very dark, very dangerous time,” Monica acknowledged.
The fallout from these revelations reached Lisa Barlow, one of the show’s stars, who responded to Monica’s claims on her X account. “I can’t imagine being so pathetic and desperate I can’t move on,” Lisa posted, triggering a sharp reply from Monica. “I can’t imagine being so pathetic and threatened that I boss networks around,” Monica retorted, alluding to a lawsuit involving Lisa, hinting at deeper issues, “Mad because you know it’s true. You really have much bigger things to worry about. I can think of 500,000 other things right off the top of my head,” she added, referencing the recent legal troubles as a form of karma.
This exchange sparked further discussion among the show’s fans. When a fan admonished Lisa and Heather Gay for allegedly giving ultimatums to production, Lisa quickly denied such actions. “I would never have to,” she clarified on Twitter.
Monica, who joined the Salt Lake City franchise in Season 4, became a controversial figure by the season’s end when she was outed as Reality Von Teese. Her contract was not renewed for the following season, leaving fans speculating about her future on the show.
As The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City gears up for its fifth season premiere on Bravo, the tension and drama off-screen continue to captivate and stir the pot among its audience.
