Mama June Shannon’s Daughter Lauryn ‘Pumpkin’ Efird Files for Divorce After 6 Years of Marriage!
Lauryn “Pumpkin” Efird, a familiar face from Mama June: Family Crisis, has officially filed for divorce from her husband Josh Efird after six years of marriage.
According to documents filed on August 1 and obtained by In Touch, the couple, known for their appearances on Mama June: Family Crisis, have reportedly been separated since July, marking the end of their long-term relationship.
The divorce filings reveal that Lauryn and Josh, who share four children — Ella, 6, Bentley, 3, and 2-year-old twins Sylus and Stella — have established a joint legal and physical custody arrangement for their kids. They have also mutually decided to forego the option of requesting child support from one another. Under their agreement, Josh is required to clear out his belongings from the family’s Georgia home within 60 days, with Lauryn retaining the property.
Throughout their marriage, Lauryn has frequently celebrated Josh’s role as a father on her social media platforms. In a heartfelt post from June 2022, she expressed her gratitude for Josh, describing him as the “BEST father I’ve known” and acknowledging his significant presence in both her and her children’s lives, including her younger sister, Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson. “All my life I prayed god would send me someone I could have a family with and love forever and he sent me you. Thank you for being the best father to all of our babies including Alana,” Lauryn shared in the post. “You’ve never failed to show up and show the kids what a man real man is. I’ll forever be thankful for you. Me and the kids love you so very much. ❤️❤️❤️.”
The timing of the divorce comes amid a challenging period for Lauryn, as the family continues to deal with the aftermath of her older sister Anna “Chickadee” Cardwell’s death from stage 4 adrenal carcinoma in December. On a recent episode of Mama June: Family Crisis — Lauryn opened up about her ongoing grief, expressing her concerns about moving forward. “Getting the call that her cremains are ready is like, what the f—. Life, I know, has to continue to move on, but I just hope this doesn’t set me back, because I just got out of that funk,” she confessed.
In addition to her personal challenges, Lauryn and her sisters have been openly skeptical about the stability of their mother, Mama June Shannon’s marriage to Justin Stroud. In a discussion aired in April, Lauryn and Alana speculated that June’s deceptive tendencies might eventually lead to the collapse of her marriage. Alana voiced her concerns, saying, “If she doesn’t quit the f—ing lying and really get her f—ing life together, I’m telling you, Justin’s gonna leave her.”
Mama June: Family Crisis airs on WEtv every Friday, at 9 p.m. ET, continuing to offer viewers a glimpse into the complex dynamics and ongoing struggles within the Shannon family.
