Brittany Cartwright Enjoys Time with Friends and ‘The Valley’ Co-Stars After Jax Taylor Enters Mental Health Facility
Brittany Cartwright is embracing life and finding reasons to smile despite her estranged husband, Jax Taylor, recently seeking help for his mental health.
Following confirmation that Jax has checked into an inpatient treatment facility, Brittany, 35, has been sharing upbeat moments on social media. On Tuesday, she posted a cheerful photo on her Instagram Story from Jax’s Studio City bar, where she was seen with friends Scheana Shay and “Vanderpump Villa” star Marciano Brunette.
In a separate post that same day, Cartwright dazzled in an orange dress as she posed on a picturesque lawn at sunset, with lush greenery and water views as her backdrop.
She also made her debut on TikTok, sharing a lively video with her The Valley co-stars Michelle Saniei Lally, Nia Sanchez, Janet Caperna, and Jasmine Goode, along with her girlfriend Melissa Marie.
The group energetically lip-synched to a catchy audio clip proclaiming, “We are back baby … we are f–king back … we’re back!”
Despite these public displays of positivity, Brittany has yet to address Jax’s decision to enter treatment directly. On Wednesday, Taylor shared a poignant image on his Instagram Story, showing him holding and kissing his and Cartwright’s 3-year-old son, Cruz.
“Trying to get better for you buddy, daddy loves you so much,” he captioned the heartfelt photo.
Taylor’s representative commented on his current situation, noting to Page Six that “this is a particularly sensitive time for him and his family.”
The reality star had been candid about his mental health struggles following his February split from Brittany. In June, he discussed on their joint podcast, “When Reality Hits,” how he began working with a professional to manage his emotions.
“I’m like, ‘This is what’s wrong with me, and this is what I’m doing, and this is who I’m attacking. And I have serious, serious anger issues, and I have a child, and I don’t want him to see me act like that,’” Jax admitted.
Earlier this year, Taylor expressed a desire to work on himself in hopes of reconciling with Cartwright. The couple, who wed in Kentucky in 2019, welcomed their son in 2021. Despite their efforts to mend their relationship, they decided to take a break after a particularly tumultuous argument.
Brittany revealed during the season finale of The Valley in June that the argument was a turning point. She described Jax’s behavior during their arguments, noting, “He was going out to the bar and stuff, coming home and having these horrible hangovers that would make him mean as a f–king snake.”
The breaking point came after a night of partying, during which she recounted Taylor’s angry outburst over a text message. “Finally, after he’s already been screaming at me for hours … I packed me and Cruz up and we got the hell out of that house,” she recalled.
“I just kind of hit this point where I started noticing everything that he did to me,” Cartwright added.
As Taylor focuses on his recovery, Brittany is navigating this challenging period with a visible sense of optimism and support from her inner circle.
