Jax Taylor Checks Into Psych Ward Amid Mental Health Breakdown!
Jax Taylor has entered in-patient treatment following a mental health breakdown, seeking professional help after a challenging period in his life.
Vanderpump Rules star Jax Taylor and as the host of the When Reality Hits with Jax and Brittany podcast, has entered in-patient treatment to address his mental health.
This development follows closely behind his recent separation from Brittany Cartwright, his wife of five years.
“Jax has always been candid about his mental health struggles, especially during the past few months on his podcast,” stated his rep. “He has made the decision to seek in-patient treatment. This is a particularly sensitive time for him and his family. They ask for privacy and respect until he is ready to speak more on this matter.”
In a more personal reveal, Jax Taylor, 45, shared a glimpse of his journey towards healing with his social media followers. A recent Instagram story showcased two books, “Get Out of Your Mind & Into Your Life” and “Set Boundaries, Find Peace,” captioned with the word “Healing.” Furthermore, he shared an inspiring quote on his main Instagram page that seemed to echo his current state: “Be strong enough to stand alone, smart enough to know when you need help, and brave enough to ask for it.”
Jax’s openness about his struggles is not new. He has frequently discussed the challenges within his marriage on various platforms. The couple, who have been together for over a decade and share a three-year-old son named Cruz, announced their separation in February 2024 but have continued to make public appearances together, including attending The White House Correspondents Dinner in April.
At the event, Jax expressed his ongoing personal battles and uncertainty about the future of his relationship. “We’re just trying to figure things out,” he told Entertainment Tonight. “I’ve given you real-time, I don’t know what’s going to happen. I am definitely working on myself right now.”
He added, “The separation has definitely been good for me, but I do miss her. I miss her a lot. So, I don’t know, we’ll see if she’ll take me back.”
In a conversation with E! News, Jax elaborated on the dynamic changes in their relationship post-separation. “Every week, it’s changing,” he said. “We’re talking. We’re eating dinner, we’re going out for drinks. So, who knows? Do I want to be back together again? Of course I would, but, you know, we gotta see what’s healthy for us and our son.”
Brittany Cartwright has been supportive but firm about the need for Jax to focus on his personal growth. “He needs to work on himself … there’s no back together right now,” she acknowledged.
As Jax takes significant steps towards his mental health, the reality star hopes his journey will encourage others facing similar challenges to seek help. His decision to enter treatment marks a pivotal moment in his public and personal life, aiming to prioritize his well-being and family.
