Scheduled to make its debut in the summer of 2024, the establishment aims to provide a unique social space without the inclusion of alcohol, located in Brooklyn.

Radke excitedly shared on his Instagram on July 30, “It’s officially happening!” alongside a photo announcing the bar’s name. Soft Bar + Cafe’s own Instagram account hints at multiple pop-ups around New York next summer, setting the stage for a novel dining and socializing environment.

The concept for this non-alcoholic establishment was first voiced by Carl during an episode in the eighth season of Summer House. He discussed the idea with his then-fiancé, Lindsay Hubbard, expressing a desire to be a beacon for sobriety and support for others sharing his journey.

“I’m proud to be a voice for things that I’ve been through and hopefully help other people,” Carl shared, adding his initial idea of a sober sports bar.

Despite initial skepticism from Hubbard, who cited her extensive experience in the hospitality industry and her concerns about their future family, Radke proceeded with his vision.

By the Season 8 reunion, he announced his plans were moving forward. “I want to lean into non-alcoholic stuff, whether it’s opening a cafe or sports bar, which, by the way, I’m about to,” he revealed. “I’ve got a team together, we’ve raised some money, and we’re actually going to open something here in New York.”

The bar aims to do everything with intention, from its daily operations to its ambiance and the individual drinks it serves, all crafted with the utmost thought and good intentions, as stated in a post on July 30.

Carl, who has been a part of Kyle Cooke’s beverage company, Loverboy, indicated a shift in his career focus towards non-alcoholic products. After leaving Loverboy in February 2023, he announced at BravoCon in November that he was rejoining the company to concentrate on expanding its non-alcoholic line.

In February 2024, he spoke about his deep connection to the project, saying, “It speaks to me personally, it speaks to my passion to help people who don’t drink feel more comfortable. The fact that we’re now offering a non-alcoholic version of Loverboy is just incredible.”

As Carl gears up to launch Soft Bar + Cafe, the endeavor not only reflects his personal journey but also his commitment to offering a welcoming space for those choosing to forego alcohol.

This unique bar and cafe is set to redefine the social scene in Brooklyn next summer, promising a fresh take on how people gather and socialize.
